We have enough people who game online to possibly create a ventrilo. We could have admins/mods who create channels for specific games, etc. I think it would be cool. I wow with a couple people from ZFGC, and would enjoy being able to Vent with em :)

We could just use skype?

ZFGC really doesn't produce enough funds for buying extra space for voice servers. I think it would namely go un-used. We have IRC and we could do channels with skype, why not use services that cost us nothing. :)

That's why I'm offering to host it, and that's why I'm asking why they want Ventrilo over TeamSpeak, because Ventrilo wont give you more than 8 slots without paying, whereas Teamspeak is free for non-commercial use.

IMO, Skype > Vent > TeamSpeak.

Buuuuuuut for something like this Vent works best, so I'm all for it.

I have a teamspeak server open always

password is: cyberkaffe
can hold 25 people in one channel
and bw isnt a problem..
personally i strongly dislike ventrilo.. just read their website and maybe youll find out why

nothing, except teamspeak has channels, and each channel is max 25 users.. so theres really no limit
and who here thinks any server will actually get more than 20 people at one time?
