ok first lets get this out there.... THIS GAME DOES USE 39ster engine
Zelda Online Alpha

This is open alpha #2 of The Legend of Zelda the Butterfly Effect and will end at 18:00 GMT-5 06/26/09

global and local chat
HUGE game world to explore
Epona

Tried it, and no offense, it's a glorified walking engine.

Hardly it includes enemy ai attacking and horse riding as well as talking npcs.  My only complaint is that you cannot ride Epona through the exits or entrances of Castle Town. You can ride her everywhere in the current room, but you have to get off to go to a different room with her.

The Epona thing is a WIP.
I didnt enable the setting to not allow it in some rooms.

Normally you are able to ride outdoors but not in towns.

in this alpha for testing reasons you cant move between indoor and town room but you can still ride in them.

@Downsider
its hard because I am having problems with the engine.

But we have a story(that explains the multiple Links) that will blow you away

here's a question.
Why make an online game in the zelda universe? Most MMO's don't need reasoning to the multiple people, a zelda game would. Plus, the dungeons (which is pretty much why people play zelda) would end up being instances, thus trashing your bandwidth. :/
