I wrote this for another forum, but figured I'd better post it here as well. HOW TO DEBATE! 4 simple steps.

1) PERSON 1: "My opinion is this, and I am now presenting evidence!"
2) PERSON 2: "I am now examining the evidence..."
3) Then either
A) PERSON 2: "okay, now I am giving how I think your evidence is wrong, and situations where your opinion doesn't fit" Go to 4
B) PERSON 2: "Yes, your evidence is very good, I cannot debunk it or provide any counter-evidence. Your opinion is clearly correct/It may not be correct, but it may be, This calls for further research." END DEBATE
4) Then either:
A) PERSON 1: "I am now Defending my evidence and presenting more", goto 3
B) PERSON 1: "I Accept that my opinion may be wrong due to lack of supportative evidence./I accept my opinion is wrong, as your combat with my evidence has shown." End debate

Thank you people and goodnight!

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to add: Never, EVER EVER EVER EVER try to get the other person to debunk your opinion without supporting it first. So, "God exists, prove me wrong." is a MAJOR no-no in the world of debates!

So that would mean no religious debates. Because there is no evidence to support it. Making the arguments completely empty.

Well this contains information that one doesn't "Always back up the initial statement with evidence. Failure to do so leaves you a noob".
