I think it should be renamed to "Loosely Based On Dragonball: Evolution" but other than that...doesn't look too terrible, though I'm not with very high expectations :P

They essentially just made things just as bad as they were whether or not Piccolo was white by the name change. Wow, "evolution" is such a better name than using the name of the series it's a movie of! Cause, you know, it's so HARDCORE and AWESOME. They really didn't think things through with the name. Not only does "Evolution" indicate it's the latest one in the DB chronology when it's based off the start, it's so much easier to choose a better one. Even "Beginnings" would be better, and somewhat less generic. At least choose a name that makes sense if you're going to make it misleading.

Bulma's hair is blue, not brown with a streak of blue.
Roshi is bald and has a beard, he doesn't have grey hair and is clean shaven.

I expect them to ignore half of the Dragonball mythos, and damn right too. It's goofy and annoying as !@#$%. The only way the movie could work is if they tried to be original and had their own take on it.

So Dragonball is defined by Bulma's blue hair and Roshi's baldness and beard? Wtf?
It's defined by the fact that it's a modern update of Journey to the West. Do you want me to rip apart Dragonball for the liberties it takes with that classic?
Hey, guess what? This is a modern update of a 24 year old manga series, and I struggle to see how that is, in itself, a bad thing. We'll have to wait and see for the movie itself as to whether or not it's good as a whole, but whatever.

I think it's going to be an alright cheezy fighting movie, but a horrible DB entry ha.
I think it is infact important to make the small details of say hair style correct.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the movie. My biggest probelm though is the way they've portrayed Goku. He isn't a happy-go-lucky uneducated hick anymore. Instead he's some angsty teenager in high school. Besides the Kamehameha he does near the end, he never shows any emotion whatsoever. Also there's too much bullettime. Piccolo looks kinda cool though.
Also, I'm gonna be an !@#$% and say anyone who says the movie is a discrace to Dragon Ball Z isn't allowed to complain. It's not !@#$% Z. Do you see a Z in the title? No. :P

The dub doesn't even use HEAD CHA LA, I doubt the movie will.

I haven't been to a movie theater for a couple years now so I think I might celebrate my time back to it by watching this. I am looking forward to it though. I am glad that Piccolo is green even though it didn't really bug me too much when he wasn't in earlier pics and trailers.

Also when Goku goes ape he should be twenty foot tall and able to crush buildings under his feet. The ape goku in this movie is just a man in make-up.

It will either suck or be amazing. Either way I'm watching it for the lulz.
I actually liked the old Dragonball a lot better than DBZ. It had a lot more adventure/martial arts feel to it than Z did. Even when they did Kamehama and !@#$% it was something special, and impressive. In Z it was the ONLY thing they ever did. SHEEEIT. This movie looks like it's keeping that spirit when translating it into the big screen, so it might actually turn out good.
