Game Design / Re: ATTN: Items Group: Items Brainstorm

Just a tiny little nod to the subject, some to-do lists would work nicely, and even if it is a community project things would probably be easier with a leader who decides which suggestions are good and which won't work. Otherwise we all sit around after making contradicting suggestions, being all "yah, I think this, but you think that... so....."

I sort dropped out this summer, cause my dad got very sick (had a stroke), so all my extra energy just disappeared. However, with some clearer to-do structure on the project I wouldn't mind contributing sporadically now during the winter, stuff has stabilized and my energy is slowly coming back. Zelda fangames for the win, you know. Booh yah!

I love Majora's Mask. ^_^ A 3D remake would be so kick-ass... And I like Operation Moonfall, it seems it's got a lot of support from all kinds of places. I think even Zelda Williams made a little supportive thing about it, saying MM is her favorite Zelda... Yeah. Awesome :)

I've preorderd the limited edition bundle, and am super excited about Skyward Sword. Did you know that Zelda Reorchestrated http://www.zreomusic.com/ has made versions of the trailer themes? I terrorize my boyfriend by playing those songs, humming those songs and talking about Zelda nonstop. Have been doing that for a couple of weeks now :)

If you are unsure about Skyward Sword, check out the extensive collection of knowledge on Zelda Informer: http://www.zeldainformer.com/16-skyward-sword/everything-we-know-about-skyward-sword.html

This game seriously looks like it will surpass all Zelda games before it... Happy happy joy joy!

Had no idea that was you writing, but in hindsight it was obvious (I DO read you blog, so the tone was somewhat familiar). I enjoyed reading that article a lot, I hope you'll write more for Zelda Informer! :)

As for other gamemaking forums... there are at least:

http://www.creationasylum.net/
http://www.rpgrevolution.com/

...as far as I know. The screens are looking good, I like the speech bubble idea. My comp is stupid so I can't play the new demo.
Good work though, keep it up. I like RPG Maker too, though I haven't used it in 2 years ^^;

What console is it for? (Or is it for PC?)

The fence is great, it makes me think of the entrance to the graveyard-fence in Ocarina of Time. Sweet.

Don't be, make it your own experience. No pressure. Since I've been sick, I haven't gotten farther than Goron City despite getting the game on the 17th, so... it's not a race ^_^

Something that is ultra awesome though: The added details in all the houses. All I'm saying is: Carpenters house in Kakariko. So cool.

3D mode is awesome (as long as you don't feel a little under the weather, it is not for those already-have-a-headache-gaming sessions.)
It looks very pretty and lively, and as has already been stated, if you go for a while with 3D, and then swithch it off, the differnce is really surprising.

Also: I've found the sinking lure in the fishing pond, I walked around a lot on the log where the big fish is. Young Link, mode.

A WEIRD WEIRD side effect is that I've started to dream about switching between 2D to 3D, it's like my sensory input has learnt a new way of experiencing things, so I dream of things switching from a stable flat surface to being layered in depths. (I dreamt of reading a newspaper, the photos, text and headlines got all layered and 3D-like when I switched in my dream) So I think being able to get used to having 3D available is a cool thing that might change some things in the way we percieve eye-input and sights. Truly odd.

Yay for being in Sweden and getting Ocarina of Time yesterday ^_^
I was at home being quite sick, so my gentleman of a fiancé went and bought a 3DS and Zelda on my behalf (I'll give him money today though, lol.) So damn good! But I didn't get far at all, I just ran around happily in kokiri forest, and then I fell asleep. ;>_<; I guess I really am sick...

What reference picture did you use? I got kinda curious! ^_^ I'd love it if you did a white clad gerudo with short hair and the classical gerudo warriors as well.

Oh! I maxed the size up and your right it's the same... Should she perhaps have yellow eyes though?
She looked awesomely done when I maxed up the size :)

The coloring and details on the gerudo guard is awesome,  but she is a bit small... Her body seems smaller than MC Links, and he is a child/youth whereas the gerudo guards are grown up. Any way of making her a little taller?

The Garo looks pretty nice. Don't shorten it too much, If I were you I'd try to give the sprites a bottom shadow and see if it looks more natural.

When placed in a "MC-version of the intro" mockup, it look stunning. Perspectivewise with comparing Link and Skull Kid, it looks spot-on. Great job!

Gameplaywise, ST was more fun than PH. But ST's story felt way more rushed and not fitting together everywhere. The dialogues lacked in comparison - in PH there were many memorable characters, in ST it was... Zelda. She was the only one who even HAD a character/personality. Jeeeeez.

It turns out living two people in a tiny tiny student corridorroom (18 squaremeters) really pays off in the end. Even after randomly buying five pairs of shoes, after having a thorough look in my accounts and drawing up some reasonable figures for future spending, I definitely have a little more money in my savings account than what me and my guy will need to survive the summer without jobs (jobs are hard to find, and we have to study for some old leftover exams in august as well.)

Which means I'll be happily buying the 3DS when OoT3D comes ^^ Also, one of my sweetest childhood friends has a boyfriend who works in a huge videogamestore, and she said she'll ask him to be on the lookout for any special 3DS offers during the spring and summer. Yeah!
*Dancing happily around the tiny room*
