Seriously, I've beaten one song on it, and that's One, other than that, I get to about 34%-38% if I'm lucky on Raining Blood, I get to the orange hammer on to the other lower notes part on the Eric Johnson song, and the farthest I've gotten on The Number of the Beast is 41%, it's so damn repetitive and it hurts my hand  :'(

Tips?

Yeh, the 8th level songs are impossible on Expert. >.< But I'm getting better.

I finally beat Welcome to the Jungle on Expert yesterday. :D

Oh, and on Through the Fire and Flames on practice I can hit 61% of the notes.

Well... beating those songs took me ages. lol Like more than 3 hours ages (thats a long time when it comes to GH and me XD)...

Raining blood is simple, AS LONG AS you can get the timing right, and your pinky strength is good enough XD

The pattern is simple; following this-

P = pinky
R = ring
M = Middle
O = pointer

the pattern basically goes (starting from bottom up; like GH does it')-

|O|||
||M||
|||R|
||||P
O||||
|M|||
||R||
|||P|
|O|||
||M||
|||R|
||||P

And you just osculate your fingers, shift by 1 button, repeat... But they do throw in one lil exception to this, and I cant remember the exact notes for it, lol but if you stick to that you'll be good... Although, keep in mind; Raining Blood has a tempo of 240 on that solo part :P so you gotta be quick about it.

As for The Number of the Beast (hehehe The Neighbor of the Beast; 665 :D), that one's one of those play it as it comes songs... lol

With Cliffs of Dover you've gotta get those starpowers at the intro, otherwise the song will !@#$% you up miserably lol... But realistically, once you've beaten One, you've beaten the hardest song on that list (other than Raining Blood... but that songs short)...

Then prepare for the worst.. .!@#$%... boss battle... EVER IN THE HISTORY OF ANYTHING. That one is ALL up to what attack he gets on you, and what attack you get on him.

To beat Lou; you've gotta get the Whammy powerup, and use it on him when he has a group of sextuplet green notes just before his 2nd powerup... its a pain, it'll take you a LONG time, but you'll get it :D

Here's some advice: Stop playing BUTTAN MASHAN GAEMS like GH.

It will save you time and effort, and help to slow the progression of carpal tunnel.

Yeah :p but thats all music is- repetition of notes; set patterns laid out in bars... lol of course thats going to reflect on a game based around playing the notes in a song XD

k, got to 59% on Number of the Beast.

By turning the volume off.
It's fuckin' stupid, I can do the beginning with sound on by single strumming, but that's god damn tiring.
If I Alt Strum it's like WTFWTF.

And honestly, except for the tap part One is easy IMO,I just star powered the Tap Solo and I was good.

o.0 why even tap? I get about 90% of that part in the solo by strumming every 3rd note lol just gotta build teh dexterity XD

:s Through the Fire and Flames though... all tappage... GAH that song is hard
