You could use Bow/Arrow as tears

Or just say !@#$% it to that system and mix it up slightly by having it play more like Zelda and letting Link use his signature sword. Or even the little master sword spiral thing

You should give Metal Gear (The MSX version that's also available in the Subsistence release of MGS3/the HD collection under MGS3) a play for an idea of how to balance the stealth - I got big time MG vibes moreso than MGS3 from that first screenshot and I think if you really flesh this concept out it could be neat

Yeah but I read something about it being even more finnicky on GameMaker even still which is why I brought it up

If I'd thought about it there are better methods I could've used but what's done is done

Quick note on Goron Digger's online mode (instructions really since it's not totally clear from within the game itself)

- Host does what it implies - you pick it and you become the host for the game (The server)
- Then three clients choose join and enter your IP which you can find at a website like http://www.whatismyip.com/
- As soon as all four clients are connected together, the game automatically begins
- We noticed at the end of development when it was too late to change things that GameMaker's networking is heavily dependent on port forwarding (at least the way I implemented it is - this isn't necessarily universal because GameMaker has proprietary functions for netcode)

If you want to see what the online mode WOULD have looked like (And I encourage the judges to at least since it's half the game) all you have to do is:
- Open four instances of the game locally (One computer)
- Have one window hit Host and three hit Join
- Choose 127.0.0.1 as your IP to connect to

The game will begin and you can see what it would've looked like (It's a little rougher than Training but has its own charm to it imo)

Today I'm going to try to play the other two entries too. I think it's awesome we got as many as we did in and I'm sad I won't get to play DJ's entry (scrapped) or gm/Kren's (Couldn't get a build in time) :( They looked cool

Yeah what he's saying is... Our game had online (which I was in charge of coding) and by the time we got around to actually testing it... Most people probably won't be able to use it online :P

Soooo it works if you have four clients local at 127.0.01 or if your router isn't very well secured but uh... yeah lol

!@#$% happens. Like polish sausage on a grill

Far as I'm concerned we have until Sept 1st 12:00 AM EST to finish this. I'm going to take tomorrow to put a little bit of spit-shine polish on it (There are still some things that need to be done)

But we're feature complete as of today and could probably turn it in as-is so... IT'S HABBENING

It's probably close enough to the deadline now that I can feel free to say this...

But Theforeshadower and I teamed up for our entry (Which frankly if we hadn't I probably wouldn't have done anything with this lol)

My role in it is more or less done but TFS seems to be MIA right now. So I may be polishing up my branch of the build and submitting that on his behalf as well if he doesn't reappear soon

And uh... It's an old build because I was focusing on one certain feature while he did a lot of the other stuff (It was a big job to be fair) So if that happens it might be a little rough ;) Hell it's gonna be a little rough even if he comes back and we scramble to finish haha

Can't all be organized!

Anyway good luck to everyone and congrats Mammy for being the first person to finish (that I know of)
