I like the yin/yang dynamic between the red and blue bubbles, heheh.
I'm a bit confused on the "hibernation" aspect. Do they pretend to be a normal skull until Link draws near, then chase after him?
-
Exactly, That's what it does.
-
Okay, the description needs some work. As I read it now: the bubble floats with fire/ice/smoke and hibernates without fire/ice/smoke at the same time.
Besides I don't think I like the floating. I prefer the hopping kind of bubbles.
-
If I recall correctly, the only bubble that bounced was the red bubble and the blue bubble when it lost its flame.
-
Can be, but I still liked the animation and liveliness of the bouncing one better.
-
Thoughts?
-
It is not bad, but the Locations have to be more concrete. Then my previous thought still stands. I preffer bouncy bubbles over floating ones. :P
-
I agree with Niek, the locations need to be set and exactly when it comes out of hibernation needs to be touched on. I'd say once Link is within two tiles of the bubble, it wakes up and attacks, but we can adjust this distance during playtesting. I'd also suggest that we make some mention of what happens after the fire/frost/smoke magic is disabled. Is it more vulnerable, can't damage Link, etc?
I'm more in favor of the floating bubbles, myself. OoT had floating bubbles until the magic fire/frost effect was disabled, whereupon they bounced. Why don't we do that?
-
I agree, floating bubbles sound better.
-
Okay, okay, floating bubbles it is. But the locations should be made more concrete.
-
Agreed. We will accept this once that's altered, then, right?

Sounds good to me.

Made the modifications... after like two months.
