It's super awesome. It really helps clear things up. The editing is spectacular too.

Yeah they really spent a shitload of time on this. GT has been putting quite a lot of work in their specials lately.

I saw it a few days ago, and it's incredible. They screwed up on at least one thing though (some people said that there are multiple inaccuracies, but I do not know enough to say).

They messed up when stating that the third timeline was the result of Link getting killed by GANON during the final battle. But this is not correct. It was during the battle with GANONDORF that this happens, as it had to be, because that's when the Triforce pieces are resonating. And the Hyrule Historia says it as well:
Quote from: Hyrule Historia pg 90
Once the Triforce of Power possessed by Ganondorf, the Triforce of Wisdom that dwelt in Princess Zelda, and the Triforce of Courage that dwelt in Link became one, they would resonate together. Finally, the time had come for the battle with Ganondorf.
(This is where, if Link, the Hero of Time, is defeated, another timeline will unfold. Please turn to page 92.)

•The Transformation Into the Demon King, Ganon
Link is victorious in his one-on-one battle with Ganondorf. However, Ganondorf uses the last of his power to take on the form of an evil, demonic beast. The Demon King, Ganon, corners Link and Princess Zelda.
I won't go into it, but if you look at the timeline and look at all the games that come after OoT in the "defeated hero" timeline, you will see that Ganon is only in the pig-like form. He is never in the form of Ganondorf. It's because of the state of the Triforce. It's really cool stuff to check out, if you're into details like I am.

That said, I know of at least one slip up in the actual Hyrule Historia itself having to do with the Master Sword. So I can't be too rough on GT if even Nintendo messed up. To be fair, it could just be that Glitterberri screwed up on the translation. I just don't see how it could be the result of a mistranslation. It's at the part in OoT when Link gets sent back to his time. It says that Zelda puts the Master Sword back (in the future), but then it also says that the young link (in the past) puts the Master Sword back. It has to be either or, it can't be both. There could be a mistranslation where Link did not actually "put" the sword back, but instead he just appeared (upon returning to his time) where the Master Sword already was before he took it, because it says that on page 110 and it shows that in the game as well. So the Zelda in the future timeline puts the Master Sword back and seals it away (forgot the page) and this works because it becomes an entirely new timeline from the one where Link goes back to his normal time, so it isn't creating multiple Master Swords. Hmm, so yeah, it looks like it was just a mistranslation on Glitterberri's part, or just a small typo on Nintendo's part. I'll have to wait until I can get my hands on the English version of Hyrule Historia to see for sure.

Meh, anyway, I love GT, they make awesome videos and reviews, and I've always enjoyed the timeline stuff and the history of Hyrule, so I can nerd out pretty easily over this stuff.

Oh and dat temple!! :o Beautiful. Love how they implemented various artwork from some talented Zelda fans as well.

EDIT: The page I couldn't remember is page 122. That's where it says that Zelda puts the sword back (in the future) and just a bit down the page, it also says that Link puts the sword back (in the past). But Link could not have put the sword back, especially if it says the sword "remained" there on page 110. Must be a mistranslation. And I double-checked the game end and Link does only appear in front of the Master Sword. He does not put it back; it was already in place. Anyway, just wanted to say that, in case anyone is interested.
EDITx2: Actually that entire sidebar on page 122 is screwed up. It says that Link returns Epona upon arriving to his time, but in MM, Link rides Epona, loses her for the beginning parts of the game, then gets her back for the rest of the game and the game ends with him riding away from Termina through the woods on top of Epona. I guess it could be talking about AFTER MM, because Link does return to Hyrule, since the OoT/MM Link is a descendant of the TP Link, and TP Link is in the land of Hyrule, not Termina. But still, it all sounds really screwy.
EDITx3: Oh, btw, this means that OoT/MM Link marries Malon... seriously, just think about it. K, don't worry, I'm done now. :P

Why does is matter if he died during the battle with Ganondorf or Ganon?

Why does is matter if he died during the battle with Ganondorf or Ganon?

Because the Triforce pieces were resonating during the Ganondorf battle but not during the Ganon battle, because of Ganondorf using the last of his power to become Ganon. It has to do with how the Triforce works in balance and crap, and it ends up not making sense if Link fails AFTER the Triforce pieces have stopped resonating. To put it simply, Ganondorf could not have completed the Triforce if the Triforce pieces were not resonating, so he must have been in his Ganondorf form when he won because..
Quote from: Hyrule Historia Pg. 92
The Demon King, Ganon, Obtains the Three Pieces of the Triforce

One can only obtain the Triforce when all 3 pieces are resonating together. This is why Ganondorf always has to kidnap Zelda and get Link to come after her, all so the Triforce comes together, allowing him to take it; he cannot simply take Zelda's and then take Link's because they stay with their holder until brought together.

Anyway, if you still don't see why it has to be this way, it's all in the Hyrule Historia if you are interested enough to take a deeper look:
