Coding / [GM7] Shooting while Running

Ok I am also making a Megaman game (the remake of my sucky one). And I'm not sure how to associate shooting while you're running. Obviously when the variable for running and shooting are both true it'll shoot, but what I want it to do is have a sprite for shooting and running. Then when you're in the middle of running, then start shooting, it'll switch to the same number in the image index of the sprite that's running and shooting, and when you're finished shooting it'll switch back to the same image number of the normal running sprite. If any additional information is needed let me know.

Other Discussion / Problems with installing XP on an External HDD

Yup so I'm trying to install Windows XP SP2 on an external HDD. I've formatted the drive and the files for setup is on it, but when I reboot it doesn't go to the setup. Also when I select the boot device on to the Ex-HDD it says it's missing the HAL.dll, which it's there because I checked. Now I believe this could be that I already have two OS's on my compy, Vista on my primary HDD, and Ubuntu on the other. Can anyone help me get this working.

I'm gonna try out retexturing OoT in Twlight Princess style, yes I know about the other project on emu whatever. Anyways I wanted to know if you could possibly boot the game from the disc using an emulator or could copy the disc so it'll be whatever file type it needs to be.

Ok so I'm still trying to perfect my Forums, and I want to make the my messages text red when you have a new message like ZFGC does. I don't know where to look, either the index template or style.css, I also don't know where to put the code. Can anyone help? Oh and the red I'm using is #FF3300

Other Discussion / Problem Running Halo 2 Vista

I'm trying to run it but it says my Graphics Hardware is to low, when it's actually 224MB. My card is integrated (which is probably the problem), and I have all the Direct X 10 stuff, and whatever else enabled. Should I find some way to trick the game into letting me play somehow, or get a new card? And you can install a new card even if your first one is integrated right?

Yeah I forgot how to draw a variable as a text... Like I want it in the corner of the view and to say
Blue: *score amount*

and the variable is Bluescore. Can someone tell me how to do this real quick?

Discussion / How do I setup a server?

Yeah so I don't wanna use SMFforfree because I can do so much more with the actual SMF thing. I don't know much about it, but I have the SMF package that has all the files I need to upload onto it. It's just I don't know how to setup an actual server. I believe you have to pay for it, if there's free sites tell me and I'll test them, but I could probably pay for it. So anyone willing to help?

I'm helping Malonfan with his Heroes Labyrinth game, we're having a problem with the text engine. Here's the error:

We're using the Minish Cap text engine by mit I believe. Could this be a compatibility issue since it was a GMD and we're using GM6/7?

Other Discussion / Weird Glitch on Myspace!?!?!

Ok I just logged on to myspace right, it said I had new friend requests, I click it says "There are 0 messages in this folder" So I'm ok weird.... I check my friends list to see if anything happened then there's 14 people on my friends that have the DELETED picture. Although none of my friends are missing it still says I have 77 friends. So anyone else had this happen?

Yeah is there any good programs that remove encryption off music that work on either Ubuntu or Vista? I want to be able to listen to my music downloaded from the Zune Marketplace. Anyone know of any?
