It's all very pretty, but how much of the rest of the engine is functional?

I believe Facepunch had some ripped by various people, though a lot of them are unrigged. I'm not sure, I haven't visited Facepunch in a while.

I think that gratuitously good graphics are fine, as long as the rest of the game/gameplay mechanics don't suffer due to the developers spending no time on anything but the GFX.

That's really impressive work man, I love it :D

I feel your pain, my computer also coughs when it has two 60MB soundfonts loaded overlaid with filters. This is a good piece though, I like it.

Agreed, this is really good. Most of the other maps I've seen have been a bit too sparse.

Yubel, I expect the bridge looks a bit odd because I modelled it to look something like one of the bridges from Twilight Princess. As to the program I used Ryan, I used 3D Stuido Max 9.

HB, there's another vid in the thread where you'll find that Link is quite clearly != sonofgod :P

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to .Taka, mainly because I'm quite sure that we're not allowed to post ROM modifications/patches; unless things have changed during this particular massive hiatus of mine.

The house likely looks odd because it has 3 walls, though one of them can't be seen from this angle. I've done more work on this map, but I want to do a bit more before I post an update. As to why it's reminiscent of Spiral Mountain, that's probably due to the protruding cliff on the right hand side of the map. And I agree, the grass texture does look a bit odd. Ah well, I expect I'll be able to remedy that soon enough.

EDIT: Here's an updated render

It's been like trying to restrain a beer gut with a corset, avoiding spreading my time on the internet so thinly between a massive number of sites. However, I return with something of interest.

Yup, I've been making 3D models. Specifically landscapes, I haven't really dipped into objects or creatures yet, but there it is. An incomplete model of a section of Hyrule Field for an OOT modification I'm working on. When an obj to display list parser is completed, I'll be porting it into the ROM and adding actors etc.

EDIT: For the heck of it, the two title graphics for the modifications I'm making. There are more than 2, but these are the completed ones.

Boredom, one of the most fascinating and persistent motivators the human race knows. Interesting stuff dude, makes me wonder whether or not my own boredom will pump out such classics. I doubt it.

He means that they're in perfect MC style, authentic and whatnot.

EDIT: Keep up the brilliant work King Mob, I'm waiting on your next update :D

Heh. Speeding up has always been a problem of mine with performance. It's why I'm not much of a live musician. Though you're very skilled, your co-ordination between your left and right hands far outstrips mine XD

King Mob, I return momentarily to goggle in amazement at the fantastic work you've been doing with this game. I hope progress continues and the game sees the beautiful release it should. I hope you're keeping plenty of backups :P

I'd find the room scrolling very useful. Might even be enough to convince me to start work on my fangame again XD

It's coded in GML. The script based language of GameMaker.
