Heh. Both very interesting takes on the theme. I quite liked Uma's although the very beginning is perhaps a little cluttered. The mastering blurs everything a little, though in this case it actually adds to the piece rather than detracts from it. There's some interesting dissonance there, and it's overall quite a heavily laden and powerful piece.
Dayjo's conveys a much more personal feeling than Uma's does, with it's much more subdued instrumentation; though it is no less striking. It feels more like an individual's perspective, a lone climber where Uma gives the impression of a larger group. This can also be construed as a difference in circumstance however, as the pieces could tell stories of different mountains where Dayjo's is a much more secluded place, a far more harmonious place than Uma's.
I am undecided.
