It was my gf comp she probably didnt have it, its a good running computer but media wise its pretty messed up I had to mess with it so the directX might not be up to date. I'll transfer the game from her computer to mine and try it out. I'll let you know once I can get it running. :)

Who, or what, is Pyramid Head? He looks like a total freak. Like the game creators forgot that heads were made out of more than 3 polygons.

Play Silent Hill 2 for the PS2 or Xbox you can get it for 20 American Dollars.

Pyramid Heads are like Executors that killed the damned. Its part of a ritual that made Silent Hill what it is. Its really confusing to explain but heres an actual image of Pyramid Head from SH2

EDIT: Downloaded it ran reg.bat and then DM but it only plays the intro. Did I miss a step?

that is a really good drawing I remember that scene from the game, ahh such a great game I remember when I first started playing it (begins to drift off..) Oh sry just seeing that reminds me of the first time I played FFX it was such a great a experience. Really good drawing. Everything is fine to me except the necks but you already pointed that out. Maybe a cool color scheme added to it?

Recruitment / REQUEST: Need a Spriter!! because I cant sprite!
« on: July 07, 2006, 02:02:44 am »
Ok so I've been working on this project known as Evantor for a few years, I've finally began to program it (because with the old team the lead programmer was confused on what to do) So I decided to attempt to develop it in RM2k3 (because I cant program worth crap, thats why I'm going to college  :P) So anyways, I was doing custom sprites using this program called CharaEX from the internet but I had to do battle animation which came out like crap.

So heres the main reason I posted this I need someone who can sprite design for me. What I'll do is post a link to my main character Rinoku and see what you guys can do to it. Whoevers sprite I like the most I will go with that is, if you are willing to help on the project. I would really appreciate the help from anybody whos a good spriter and would be able to help me. thanks!

if anybody would like to contact me you can email me at aaronspurling@gmail.com (I check my email daily and please no spamming) or by AIM my screenname is hbrandinewm

thanks again!

I wanted to dl it but with my connection it would take forever but I'll get it tomarrow.

Looking at the screens thought they actually dont look bad with the LA and LttP mix together. BTW if you need help designing a HUD and Menus I can help if you would like to see some of my past HUD and Menu designs PM me and I can show you some of my past work.

I'll play it as soon as I can get it.

so beautiful must eat it wait I mean play it!
its perfect so so clean lookins and matches i'm in awe

excuse me I'm speechless.

EDIT: Downloading the demo to try it out but with dial up (as of now) its pretty crappy speed. Anyways, I was thinking that since you're basing it on dreams and nightmares you could have something along the lines of sages or something that need to be awaken to stop the evil from taking over, and with each sage you have to enter their dreams/nightmares and defeat the monster that put them in their slumber. And each sages dream could be like a dungeon.

EDIT AGAIN: I just played the demo its good but link was a little slow on this comp but it didnt lock up he just moved slow (my comp is crap so thats probably the problem) btw do you have your ingame menus done?

Graphics / Re: This sprite kicks so much ass it isn't even funny
« on: June 28, 2006, 02:29:42 am »
it isnt the greatest thing but its good, could be used as maybe a cut scene for a game, looks kinda like a comic though, maybe if they made comic book cut scenes it would work. Its good but not the greatest.

Thanks. I wanted it to look a bit cell shaded.(You know... like teh wind waker!)

Actually, I might make a game with him... well... If I could get someone to code it.(Uma has no expirience with gamemaker)

Its really good and the detail is perfect, you don't need to use game maker you could always go with RPG Maker its the easiest way to game design, just not as flexible as Game Maker.

araknidkid is fine now, I'm sure. Lets move away from that.

I did unlock it because I was bored, but majorly because I didnt want fans to think the game was cancelled. It will never be cancelled. If it is, itll be out forever as it is and just be called INCOMPLETE.

Ill go update DSR now =)

Thanks for the positive feedback guys.

Umm yeah since I brought it back at DSR they locked it.
Well take your time working on it, in the end it will be great :)
