Mockup of concept multiplayer Zelda game

Had this idea for a action/adventure/beat-em-up scrolling Zelda game that could be played online.


The area to the far right would also display allies' remaining fairies,current exp,level,magic,and do on.

Not a RPG really though.  Exp is more of a scoring system than stat building for my idea.

But anyways, any ideas on how maybe to improve the hud or feel?
I am going to keep to LttP style since it is the best looking but easiest sprites for me to work with.  Plus, LttP has been losing the love over the past few years :(

I think that I am going to move the Special(Magic) gauge to the bottom left corner of the screen.  Should free up better space to show the name and a exp 2837283/762367236 instead of straight exp.

Probably need a chat box too -.-
