I love the wii, but paying am extra $25 to get the wiimote to work like it should is funny

Just wait until it comes in a bundle with a game like the Tiger Woods Golf game or the new Zelda they are supposed to have it included in a bundle. Or get it off ebay for $10 dollars like I did. LOL

I already plan on getting it in the Wii Sports resort bundle around Thursday or so. it's still funny that it costs $25 to make the wiimote work normally.

Also nintendo. stop showing off those shitty Wii Mote jackets, they suck.

A bundle like tiger woods would cost me like $30 extra since the game is 60 bucks, and seeing as how i barely like wii golf and have no interest in Tiger woods, it would be a waste of money.

The price does seem to be a little high but pretty much all Wii accessories made by Nintendo are that price. If anything, it should be $10. If you get a Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus at the same time, that costs more than $70 which is more than a 360 controller I'm pretty sure. Meh, I'll have it when I get Wii Sports Resort so I don't care. It's my brother who will have to pay the $25.

Last time I checked the controller and a nunchuck both came with the Wii and wii sports (A game) comes with it and yes you can play multiple players with this one wiimote, not for all games, but if you buy one more controller and nunchuck combo (Yes they come in combo packs now (Which cost the same as the price of one 360 controller at least at my local stores)) you can play all the games that come with it.  With 360 if you want to enjoy some of the better features in games you need an XBOX live account and last time I checked that cost money monthly.  Also, on a side note the motion plus is by no means required.

Lets all be completely honest-- the price difference, to somebody who as a job and salary, is negligible.  I'm just saying that Nintendo's offerings, while cheap, aren't really worth paying for at all.

I saw the topic title in "Last post by" and knew FISSURE started this.

Anyway if crap like Wii Play is a #1 seller for months because of a packed-in remote, I don't see any problem with getting decent games like Sports Resort or Tiger 10 for some M+.

$25 for the little contraption on its own is kinda steep for me... but if more people really are going to start giving up on Nintendo then I guess I'll be seeing them soon in pawn shops for $10 like I did for my classic controller and 2nd nunchuk. Works out for all of us; world keeps turning. :D

FISSURE, the cost of putting in the additional parts that Motion+ adds at launch would have made the Wiimote more expensive ANYWAY. Probably about the same increase in cost. And with the boost in performance, I don't think anyone will be unduly stressed about it. Plus (no pun intended) I've seen this thing retailing for $20. Granted, its only a reduction of $5, but whatever. At least they're not selling an entirely new controller. *coughhackwheeze*

$25 USD seemed sort of off, you can get it here for $29.95 AUD, which if you go by the current exchange rate is about the same as $25 USD

I'll be able to purchase it with a game for $99.95 AUD
