Walnut told me there's a good chance I could educate us all based on my beliefs. But to be perfectly honest, I really dont know. I've never been to a gay wedding or a wedding with 2 dads on one side. Or any weddings period! But, if I were to hazard a guess, I'd say, that they decide for themselves. Maybe they both walk her down! Maybe the girl picks. Or maybe if they cannot decide the lighter one just sits on the heavier one's shoulders and wears a really long trench coat to make himself look like one really really big and tall dad. If there were two lesbian moms, and assuming one isn't artificially inseminated, they'd probably have to decide who'd take the role of the male and who'd take the role of the female. I'm not exactly an expert on weddings though. And who's to say a new gay ceremony can't be created to accommodate these problems? Does it really have to be totally traditional? I know that Brown vs. Board ruled that separate but equal doesn't fly, but honestly, in some cases, doesn't it make sense to have separate but equal? Men's and women's bathrooms are separate, and I'd call them as equal as they can really get, and they're separated for a necessary societal function. Just sayin'. Discrimination is a good thing, as long as its not done, in a bad way, ya know? Agencies discriminate based on age, and its to protect people and further society. Logged

Men and women are not physically equal, urinals are not something that work well for women. The bathrooms example is allowed for convenience of multiple people, for specificity towards gender, etc. There is still the chance of a gay man looking at a straight man if both are at a urinal, but that is why you can pee in a stall if you are concerned over that. Common-sense distinction is not the same as discrimination in this regard. And in any case, natural distinction is alright compared to human distinction which can cross the line; a mentally challenged person should not work on a space ship, a fat obese butterface should not work at Hooters, etc.

Also, gay weddings are amended to fit the difference in their union. The "husband and wife" is replaced with something like "partners for life".

However, in most cases, yes, it is a bad thing. I'm actually interested in knowing more about gay marriages. Do you know anything else about them 4Sword? I still do not think it is discrimination due to physical inequality. Men use urinals that women would not need as they could not use them and women have tampon stations that they use. If the bathroom is modern and in a public place, both men's and women's bathrooms have diaper changing stations. With the difference in body types, and how people of both genders want privacy, rather than creating a bathroom full of everybody, separating them just makes for common sense. People feel insecure enough as it is, young children should not have to walk into a bathroom with the risk of seeing a grown man's penis, etc.

Discrimination as a term, I guess, is not always of a negative connotation. All it means is a separation on the grounds of something. If that separation is unlawful based on civil liberties, then that is wrong. However, hirings based on certain announced traits if the job itself depends on those traits is not unlawful discrimination because the person is told beforehand that their hiring depends on these traits. Barring Jews from working at your store though would be discrimination if you were basing that barring on what they were and not what they would be required to do.

Something like barring black people from living in a condominium even if they are able to pay just as everyone else, then that is wrong; however, if they or anyone acted disruptive and caused complaints that could be interpreted as not motivated by the race of the person, then they could be kicked out. I guess you could get away with some discrimination so long as you kept your opinions hidden so it could not be proven to be based on it.

As for gay marriages, I do not know much more about them other than they change the wording. As for the original question of this topic, it goes to the biological mother or it just goes to whoever. The marriage itself is meant to be done as "normally" as possible, it really doesn't deviate that much. In fact, there are heterosexual weddings that are stranger.
