I was just wondering how popular it is in other countries, and what you think of the band. (If no one knows, HIM is a finnish band, and I'm finnish too :P)
I myself love their music, lyrics especially, along with the melodies.
So... Yeah, discuss mates!

I don't really like them, I first heard about the band when two goths on my school had a coat with it.
I tried listening to it, but, didn't really like it... May give it another try, but later. >_>

I think they're a load of vittus...well, not really, i just like saying vittu. anyway, I will be seeing them next week at Give It a Name, they're headlining....shame I could never get into their music much, I always found it kinda boring.

Their music is pretty depressing, so I don't like it.
Like when you walk past a group of emos playing emo music and it makes you feel almost as unhappy as them, it's pretty much the same feeling.

I don't like him at all! he sings almost only about Death and pain. If I want to hear that then I can go to one of those emo's on my school.

I don't know, the lyrics don't really resemble of anything depressing or unhappy, well, to me at least.
Or I just like that, and don't care :P

I don't know what weird idea you have in mind from me! But I'm not an emo, and I don't like deppressive music. Anyway about the lyrics yes I did otherwise I couldn't tell my opinion could I?

Eh HIM is okay, I used to be a fan but kinda got out of it.

I do however have three band suggestions for you... one is Charon... I haven't listened to them in forever so I can't suggest which album, but they're the most iffy of my suggestions.

After them comes Divercia. Divercia I really like. I wish I knew what happened to them, they said they were going to update their site over a year ago and nothing has surfaced since. Their first album is quite amazing, I really like the vocals in it for some reason. Say what you want :P But anyway I suggest strongly checking out their first album, "Modus Operandi" when you get the chance. (I have a friend who referred to them as a "Metal HIM"

Lastly comes For My Pain... - I don't know if you'll like them at all, I found them around the same time as HIM and kinda liked them. I've since listened to it few times. I'm listening to it now (I couldn't remember their damn name and had to search for a few minutes to find it :P) and I'm not minding it. It's not fitting my mood at all however so it's off. Anyway their album Fallen is good, and I have the Killing Romance MCD, which I only got because the first song I found by them was on it only. They might have a new album out by now but I know nothing of them.

In other news... Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly was past my time with them, but damn was it catchy >_<
I always used to like "Join Me" and "The Funeral of Hearts" and "Your Sweet Six Six Six."

Man... I used to have such different tastes in music o_O. They are kinda emoish lyrics wise... man I'm glad I'm past that phase :P But at the same time going back to them I don't mind it. I'm listening to their cover of Don't Fear the Reaper and not minding it...

Well... back to my Kataklysm (Wee blast beats!) >_>

So according to every !@#$% retard on this forum.
95% of the artists out there are emo, due to the fact that they have problems in their life, and they sing about them.

Emo is a type of music, and originally stood for "emotive"
Not that gay ass stereotype that every single redundant fool makes it out to be.


I don't like HIM.
But, they have a few decent songs, i'll give them that.
