Euro/North America DS Compatability questions

I'm leaving for france on a school based trip in about 11 hours. Apparantly the opera browser for the ds is already released in europe, and I would like to be able to use it to send emails.

If the stars align, and I actually find a game shop somewhere, will I be able to use the European bought Opera browser on my North American DS? I'm not at all current with the whole compatability issue between North America/Euopean Nintendo products.

Well, if I remember correctly, Jump Superstars works on an American Nintendo DS, so I do not see why a European Opera browser will not work on an American DS.

I'm fairly sure the DS is region free for most aspects. I've imported games from Japan before and they play fine, so you should have no trouble with this.

I have an American DS and Swedish games work like a charm on it.  So yes, your DS is compatible with NTSC, JAP, and PAL.

Pretty much like Sol said, I also read somewhere the Chinese thing. And I just have a single European DS game... (along with a US and a Japanese one).
And a doubt I had before, the Wi-Fi connection is also region-free, I can play american online games as well as european online games. So there must be no problem with your Opera.
(In my school there aren't any trips to America ;_;)
