Somebody will make a rom and place it on a cartridge and magically "free" browser!
Bad news - it doesn't work. I've been there. The DS Browser uses a special... cartridge, I guess (haven't seen it yet) that's been used to write memory on it, bookmarks and cookies, I assume. And although flash-cartridges are free to write stuff on, it's not yet possible to emulate it so that the ROM of the DSBrowser believes it can write on whatever you use.
And there aren't any homebrew browsers out there that actually work.
Still, the DSBrowser is pretty pointless... sadly. I mean, what's the point? If you use an access point at home, you most likely can use the internets with your PC too. And usually, you have a hard time finding an access point outdoors. The next hotspot from my place is like, 15 minutes away with the bus.
