I was talking to my friend last night, and he was mentioning about how in 1980, he thought the internet would become this amazing place where people from across the world would share ideas. I was telling him about how this project [KOT] has worked, lurching along for years and drawn by different people from across the globe, and he thought it was beautiful. And he was right, it's awesome. :D

I worked some more on this and I have the east field almost complete! There are a few areas I still need to tile, as you can see in the map.
In the original ALTTP map there are areas that don´t match up due to it being in sections. I don´t know if I should go the same way or if I should try to join the tiles that don´t match up. Any Ideas?

I finished tiling the west field and the desert. I´m having so much fun with this!!!
I decided to go the sector route, like the original.

EDIT: I´m editing this since I just finished the flute boy´s area.

Actually 9 sections:
-Kakariko Village
-The Desert
-Flute Boy´s Area
-Forest Area 1
-Fortune Teller Area
-Forest Entrance
-Grassy Area 1
-Library area
-Race area

I am doing the map by sections, like it was in ALTTP, then putting them together in one huge map.

ANYWAY! I fixed a few tiling errors and almost finished the church area, I just need to do the church and the walls.

EDIT: Don´t worry on the chuch being to the side and in ALTTP style, I will fix that ;)

Cementary and church areas complete!! (And maybe other areas which I don´t remember :P) This is going so fast, even I am freaked out! HAHAHAHA!
Eitherway, by the end of Christmas this will be finished, if there is nothing to stop me that is :P

It looks really neat; whenever I look at the official Minish Cap game areas involving grass I always think it's muddy/dirty/dying, nice to see that someone can make the grass look clean/lively.

Wow thanks!! That means a lot! Yeah the grass in minish cap looked to yellow and bright. Not sure why nintendo used those colours but hey, they still look good. I used a darker green because A, it fits the color of Alttp, and B, I liked it when se used it in the KoT field. So I think its turing out great and its getting good feedback, which is awesome!

I recorded how I did half of the castle since I had the other half done. I finished it in 1 hour and 5 mins more or less.
I haven´t uploaded the video yet. When I do, I will let you know. :)

Also, I just watched the video. The "what the hell is this" thing is a small tree, I think XD
You could replace them with statues or make really small saplings, depending on how closely you wanted your MC edit to resemble the original.

But saplings makes more sense. I will see how I can make them. Maybe edit those pullable mushrooms from MC.

You definitely got something going with this graphical conversion! While I still prefer how aLttP originally looked, this is pretty neat and looks legit. But I wonder if the fence maze mini-game is possible? It looks impossible from a gameplay perspective!

Also Nintendo has already sprited 2x2 rocks that you can lift which can be seen in Four Swords. I pointed this out because the current ones might look great for the giant rocks seen in the Great Swamp and at the entrance of the Ice Cavern near Lake Hylia. Also why not replace the Dark World portals with the blue dungeon portals seen in the Minish Cap? I think that makes sense.

All in all, so far so good. A Link Between Worlds is one of my favorite Zeldas, and this project has me interested! Good luck with the project. =)

I added those rock that you said. I don´t think that the gate maze will be a problem, since I did it as it was in Alttp.

NEW UPDATE!
I made Link´s house area and I started to do the swamp region. I just have to finish the swamp and do the desert entrance to finish the west of Hyrule!
Since the file is too large to be put on one simple sheet I decided to cut it in half. (If you want to see if complete just put them together on paint of Graphics Gale)
