Why hasn't there been a Smash Brothers game for the DS yet?! The system is imense popular, and adding a Smash Brothers game will raise the sales even more! They could port the n64 version, update the graphics a bit, add online play, and some new characters, and challenges, and it will make fanboys like me crazy! So Nintendo I know you probaly won't read this ever, but in case you do, I say this with all my love and love from every Nintendo fanboy out there, so Nintendo what the !@#$% is taking so !@#$% long?!!!

I agree, if they made a DS Smash Brothers, there would be even more sales for the DS, and a portable Smash bros would be insane. <_<

Honestly, Smash Bros DS probably wouldn't work too well.

The DS has pretty big lack of buttons for SSB.

I dont see the issue, it's got almost the same number of buttons, and for all you C stick happy people. It's tough luck, I prefer the good ol' smashing the direction you wanna smash method instead.

When the DS gets an Analogue Stick, call me and I'll support this.

I'm up for a Smash Bros. on DS. It seems possible but I don't see why nobody is trying to play it on the DS with the ROM or something. Not sure if that would work but I've seen a video where somebody did do that. Still, I want Smash Bros. on DS as well as BK and DK64.

Im pretty sure this discussions been held before somewhere on ZFGC...

N64 button    |     DS Button
A                        B (best position)
B                        A
L                        L
R                        R
Z                        I think it did the same as L
Start                   Start
C buttons             none, but all they did was smashes and i think jump
Control Stick        D pad, up as jump.

Obviously you could swap A and B, but i find B is in a more comfortable place on the DS then A.
And i dont see the lack of Analouge as a huge problem, it may not be as nice but itd still work fine.

If you can play Smash Bros. with the Wii Remote, you can play Smash Bros with the DS.

DS can't emulate N64. Those videos are all hoaxes.

He's gotta point there. Only downside is that you'd be shaking the DS a lot and I think there should be rumble support for sure. Possibly a rumble pak bundled with it?

Still shows that something FROM the N64 can be remade and reused for the DS. So Super Smash Bros. could easily be remade with better graphics and put on the DS.

Yeah, but they were talking about EMULATING the N64 cartridge.

Yes, but it's not about if it can be done on the DS, of course it can be.

The only thing I'm worried about it controls, but moving wise. Using that Directional Pad would be hell.

Well...maybe they could do what Rayman did. Have a pretend analog on the touch screen.

Nintendo should make a Super Smash Bros. for DS for the simple fact that they've been ignoring the DS ever since Phantom Hourglass was released. They haven't been releasing anything on the handheld, really. Also, Ninty doesn't seem too keen on making a "Mario Kart DS 2" or an "Animal Crossing: Wild World 2", and they've completely ignored the likes of F-Zero and Pikmin.

So yeah, a Smash Bros. would be nice as long as it played well.

If it's anything like it was on SM64DS, that 'pretend analog' will suck balls...

Well, VP: Pocket Paradise is coming for DS. Rare is working on a third DS game and it could be a remake of DK64, Paper Mario DS. That's all I got.

NO, I hate using the touch screen
how about you can add something from the back, so that you could use the nunchuck or classic contoller

If you can play Smash Bros. with the Wii Remote, you can play Smash Bros with the DS.
yah, that is true.
