Some WIP Stained Glass Shizzle.

Yeah, this is a piece of a big stained glass piece of art I'm making for my game. I wanted some crits because this is the first stained glass thing I've attempted (and yes I realize an arm is missing). Anyway, I know that the edges of the outside are well...really crappy, and I started to AA them, but then I realized thats a bad idea, because I'm going to put this on a stained glass background and well, I'll need to AA it to that, so yeah. Comments?

Looks like a 3D wireframe render XD. Anyway its ok, but I think you've gone into to much detail in certain areas and some parts seem to curved to be made of glass (stained glass tends to have a lot of straight lines in it :D).

Wow... That is very nice so far!
There is something strange with the right hand though... Can't really say what, but it looks a little strange.
Nicely AA'd, but in some places, maybe little too much.

GTFO graphics section, Helios. J/k :'D About the curved remark...lol. It depends on the style of the stained glass. I've seen tons of stained glass...some thats straight like you said, some thats actually really curvey, and some that mixes it up. What I used for my reference (TWW stained glass sages) was the latter.

Thing that I would say is that the colours are way too perfect. Generally speaking stained glass is made of lots of little pieces of glass that aren't all going to be the perfect colour, especially when it comes to two pieces next to each other the same colour.. perhaps try varying the colours a tiny bit.

Palette goes BOOM. Either that, or he chooses a little ammount of colours, which looks strange in the result. iono.

Like, since he's a good spriter, he has a palette or is following a certain palette (=limited ammount of colours).

Yeah, varying the color for each piece would make the pallet go boom...not that its a big deal or anything, but ya know...it doesn't seem like varying the colors for each piece is THAT important. I guess I'll try a version doing that anyway.

EDIT: Dayjo: no, that doesn't make you a good spriter, but good spriters typically know to have a pallet.

Very nice! :)

My only point of critisism is that it looks more like broken glass than stained glass itself. Stained glass tends to have brighter colors. Sometimes also, it will use a limited amount of specific colors.
