I don't think the Gossip stones are too big. If you remember, the Gossip Stones WERE big compared with Young Link in OoT. They were just small when compared to Adult Link.

I think they're fine size-wise, but yeah, they're a bit blocky.

this game looks good and I have a better gossip stone sprite, here
that is in zfgc style if I'm right :/ that gossipstone will look really odd.

To the author of this game:

I can tell how similar this game looks to its original and the beta of it looks nice and wonderfully created, even though it has its flaws with not looking like Ocarina of Time's theme.

Have you considered making your own sprites for Link and other places?
Some people are asking for credit and it seems like you are not crediting them... I have people working on my 3D fan-game and they will be credited well.

About your graphics and colors:
1. The webs, themes, layouts and atmosphere appear "very" stale and I recommend studying the original 3D game.
2. Although the game looks like its follows its predecessor, I cannot tell what certain areas look like translated to 2D, this means a poor transition from 3D to 2D, you should study the 3D original well :)

why have the 2d deku tree's always had such messed up mouths? I never knew why, someone should really fix it.

btw I should be in the credit's for link's treehouse, and good luck.

The mouth like piece should be rotated back more towards the Deku Tree a bit so it gives the illusion of a top-downwards perspective.

Your game look good cruzbr. Overall it's potable, the graphics don't suck and the coding (in Ruby as I see) looks correct. Good job (can't wait to see your Z-targeting engine in action!)

Yeh ali, lay off a bit :). Different languages are suited to different tasks, and different skill levels. You many not like it, but thats not to say others don't.
