Lineart and shading is really nice, however your colors are pretty saturated. You've got a good amount of contrast right now, but it wouldn't hurt once you've got those saturation issues worked out, to do a little bit more with it. I like the piece though. The animation is pretty... well, it's just not smooth. Walk frames are pretty hard to do in just 4 frames. Expand that to something like 6-8 frames though, to fill in the gaps, give him a bit more motion, animate other smaller details, and you'd have a pretty nice piece. Good job.

Make his head move down on the frames when he's steppning.

It's getting better. :P The hair could use some more motion rather than just the sides sticking out :P and possibly give him a bounce to his walk. It's getting better though. (Oh, and try fiddling with the colors ;))

Are you the same Shawn from PT?

Anyways, the latest one looks nice, but the lower body seems kinda stiff...  It might be the feet.  You have the part where the move farther away down, but when he's supossed to bring his feet foward, he just moves them halfway and then stops.  You could use M&L sprites for refrence, or even MC.

Other than that, looks awesome :D  Just don't catch OSM's never-finish-a-sheet-itus.

Yeah, I'm the same Shawn. :3

And I can't become osm If I finish a sheet. :x

Alright, I hope you don't mind my edit here. I've changed the colors around, and reduced some. I just did the first frame; I'll leave the rest to you to do as you will. This basically is just to address any of the crits I mentioned before. Again, I hope you don't mind the edit!

Very Nice. I can tell now, your a very advanced pixel artist.

Are you from Pixeljoint or Pixelopolis if either?

I like to hang out at both places. I don't think I've really posted anything recent there though. I did some work in the iso collab though, at pixelopolis.

To be honest, I like Shawn's original sprite a bit better than Q.K.'s edit.  Perhaps its the brightness or something, but Shawn's has more of a Golden Sun type of feel to it.  It's at least easier to make out the details of the clothing on Shawn's.

That's not to say that Q.K's edit isn't good.  I like both of them really, but I just like the look on the original a bit better.

make his hat sway left and right...and make his hair a little longer and have the front of his hair move also.

Heh, yeah. It's been ages since I've really done any pixel work though. I've started to concentrate more on music, sound design, and game design. I'm working on an RPG with Helios, and Adarias, however it's still not officially announced really. Just keep an eye out though, you never know when something about it might pop up. Haha. :P

aah nice sprite. I only just noticed this topic now, it's great so see the progress it made so quickly. The first walk animation seemed like "STEP...WAIT....STEP...WAIT" etc, but now with the extra frames it looks really full of life and fun.

I'm not sure which colour version I like best, they're both cool - depends on the colour of what Link will be infront of I guess.
