No offense, just a heads up; You can't call everything "tMC style" because you placed it next to a tMC-Link graphic or because you used a few colors from the official game. There is a lot more to the style of the game and spriting in that style isn't the easiest.

Yeta is the right size, I checked it on the video and it was this big, here is a photo so you can see what I mean. ;)

Sorry for not posting in a long time, my internet crashed and i couldn´t contact ZFGC.
Mean while I´ve been working on some cool sprites of the OoX Ganon in MC style.
Please note that i´m just recoloring to MC style.
(Still got some work to do)

On the floor, try to use the textures of the MC Town.
Try to use standard textures.
A tip:
Resize the image I posted to the dimensions of the MC. After that you work with textures and buildings on top.

It is much easier to work that way.

Nice recolors (tho I'm not very fond of them).
But I agree with Gonken, it's not really MC style, so here are some tips :)
1. Remove the shiny parts, MC sprites don't really look like they where covered in oil.
2. GB Ganon's sprite looks like it's looking directly at the screen, normal MC sprites aren't.

I added a file bellow so you can guide yourself, hope it helps.

This stuff looks great! Would anyone be interested in ripping Bits of Termina for me and making it MC style? I'm currently working on a game that will require Termina as my overworld. I don't want all of it though, it'll be set centuries before MM so i have to add some originality to it and make things look newer. While some buildings in Clock town won't yet exist

Well in that case, when I can access a computer, or when you have some time could I could look for an overhead map of Clock Town and the Deku Palace. I think quite a bit of Termina Field could be handmade while looking at the maps.

I have an idea for the deku, Instead of the actual deku king why not make him deku prince and make a new deku king?

That's the plan. The game is centuries before MM so none of the NPC's will be the same as that game. Ikana will be the starting village which is quite lively, and Woodfall, Snowhead, and Stone Tower aren't even around yet.

OMG, you know that Demise is ganondorf right?
well I found a picture of ganondorf from TP when he is in Smoke form and when I put it besides a picture of Demise, it !@#$ing looked the same!!

Whoa that concept art is crazy nice xD, are you guys already start spriting this?  :huh:
But I think this should be like the main villain second form or something. Some Zelda villain seem normal, but ominous looking when when you get far in game, they change when you fight them. For example, Gannondorf, Vatti, and Majora's form you didn't see coming that gives the player a "wtf 0_o" reaction xD. Like for this image, when the player gets far in game, the villain will have enough of the player's meddling with his plans and turns into that for the remainder of the game, but has another form after this on. But just suggestion tho.  XD

Just woke up from a 3 hour slumber... I'm going back to sleep...

Anyway, I think the concept looks nice but 3 things...

The pointed shoes would have to go.

Ghirahim is to Demise as Fi is to Link. A Sword can't have an incarnation.

Ghirahim has nothing to do with Termina.


Nice job on the platform by the way man. Looks better. I haven't decided if the last boss will have multiple forms. I don't really like the cliche of beat a boss and face another form. I'd prefer to do something climactic like Demise where the boss looks the same but the battle becomes more intense.

Ok but i have the idea of when he changes form, he turns more scary and more powerful and more demonic and evil. the battle would be even harder than before and he would have a weak point on each transformation, pretty much like Vaati.

Exactly, he should change from his demonic form into light (shoot him with dark arrows then he is vulnerable)then into his normal self and then dark (Hit him with light arrows and then attack him)
I will think of his weak spot later, I will have to invent it, any ideas?

Why give him a weak spot when I can just make him hard to hit? The game is 2 players after all. It's gonna be Co op so arrows won't be the only way to hit him.

Ok, I have the idea of him being human like at the beggining, then when you get to the temple or castle or where he is, he transforms into a white devil (Light) whith a sword. then his second transformation would be him being bigger and stronger and darker (darkness) and have four arms with sharp claws. he attacks by trying to h you when you are close to him, and shoots darkness at you that paralises you and dark link, giving him the chance of hitting you. he has a hole that has a heart that you have to hit, but would be difficult to hit him. his horn turn red or blue when he is going to shoot fire or ice. What do you think?

The red spot his weak point? You should make a sprite version of his second form being injury, mening he player has a chance to attack him, but when the red spot goes away, he is on attack mode again, or is hisweak spot always visble.  For like what Kienamaru about the co-op mode. Make red spot only atatckable to player 1 and make a blue spot for player 2, if the player is to it the wrong weak some, they get damaged and the color of the spot change.  I dunno, seeing the sprites gives that idea :D but you can agree/disagree with this random idea.

I hed a better idea of the fina battle: he has two weak spots a blue one and a red one, but you can only hit one at a time depending on which color his horns turn into blue or red. He attacks with his sharp claws trying to stop link from hitting him, also when his horns turn red or blue, he shoots fire when its red and ice when its blue. To hit him with no problem you just have to hit him with light arrows when his horns are red or blue. When he dies he turns into a giant explosion of purple smoke.
What do you think?

I like a mix of Linkwolf's and your idea. The whole thing about 2 separate weak points being hittable only by Link (red) or Dark Link (Blue). How about this.

After you hit his weak point (each one) he gets stunned and you have to shoot him with a light arrow if (while stunned his weakpoints glow Purple) or a dark arrow if (while stunned they glow Yellow.) That way it can alternate between which arrows you use AND which people can attack him.

As for the Sprite, I like them both but I don't think they should be the same person. I also strongly disagree with the name Darkus. Try something that isn't as apparent to what he does.

About the idea of Dark Link's origins... Actually Dark Link is the Link of Termina. Did you ever read the plot to Shadow of Termina? Link was accidently warped into Termina by a magical stone he touched in the woods.

Change up the bangs a bit, make the back a little longer, and not curl at the end. Remove the piece that sticks up. Make him a bit taller. He's supposed to be an adult. Also, give him lightly tanned skin.

(Reason for so much detail on the hair is because Link won't wear a hat in this game. So they shouldn't look so similar.)

Sorry I hadn't gotten to talking about Link. But he won't wear a hat because his extra 2 tunics. (Smoke Gray and Shadow Black) are going to have Hoods. Short sleeves and hoods is a win. I don't know how he'd look hooded though.

new Feirce Deity looks awesome! I'd just like for his skin to be a bit darker.

Vator looks cool too. I like his hands, but maybe you have to fight him differently. I really like the cycle between Dark and Light. So maybe when he has the dark hands around him you have to use Light Arrows to destroy them. Once they're gone You can hit him with Dark Link. Then he switches and calls up Light Hands that must be hit by Dark Arrows and then allowing Link to slash him.

If they were, I can't say if it would make sense. They're supposed to be like the Gerudo of Termina. (I don't consider the Pirates counting.) They live in the desert region but unlike the Gerudo they're indian like, and use primitive weapons and clothing.

Ok, For vator, i thought that when he throws the hands at you thats when you have to hit the hands, hit them one by one, strangely the light hands follow dark link and dark hadns follow link, making them more dificult to hit.

Yeah, well, it may look cool, and fit in the MC style because of the colors, but not the design. You could try using the dragon boss of MC (i don't remember his name)

Unsure about the Skyvernac. Not only was he a Wyvern so he has shorter arms because he mostly flies. butI haven't decided how you'll fight him yet. I know it wasn't going to be with the Ice Rod.

About the tunics.

Whaaat? That's strange looking. He looks to be in a full fledged robe for some reason, then he has the scarf over his mouth? Let me better explain the outfit.

1.Take Minus Cap Link before he gets a hat.
2. Make the Tunic Dark Gray instead of Green.
3. Put a hood on it.
4. If possible, make it short sleeved.

NO SCARF, his face is supposed to show. For the other Tunic his Tunic is black and his pants and sleeves are gray.

So basically, the shading looks too linear. The object on the head looks more like a rounded object. I think what Blaze is trying to say is that the shading looks too linear for a rounded object. For instance, when you shade something circular, you should be curving the line along with the curve of the object.

Well...to be a little frank, if you want to keep spriting or being an artist, that's kind of what you'll be expected to do: make tweaks. I mean, I get you, making tweaks kinda really sucks especially if you want to move on to another character. I submit art for the community project and get unnecessary tweak comments all the time. However, when one actually *is* necessary and is done...then it makes a huge difference. The quality of your work will improve by tweaking it.

It's up to you in the end, no pressure lol. If you're too tired to work on it again, then simply don't fix it. You're in control of your work here.

What? The new one looks pretty good to me...he changed the head balls to actual balls and you can tell they're shaded. I don't know if my monitor's got different settings but it's pretty noticeable that Malefor made a good effort. I think this is a good improvement.

Well, I find the lighting to be a little awkward to be honest. If you look at the part with the dude's head with the tentacles together, the lighting is coming from a few areas and not really making sense. It looks sort of like you shaded everything separately without really thinking of the global lighting and just sticking it together. I think if you really wanted to make a sprite with the tentacles and the head together, I would maybe consider looking at the lighting to see if it makes sense. Still, the technique of shading looks fine on the tentacles; just together it looks awkward.

Eeeehhhhhh that's not really true. Actually, I think lighting underwater is even more difficult to make look good. Take a look at this:

The light comes from above the surface and radiates down. Equally, there are ripples that reflect down too. It's not a HUGE deal, but you'd have to take this into effect. Lighting is very important and can make your drawings go from really crappy to REALLY GOOD (I'm not saying your sprites are crappy, they're actually quite good. It's just, people like me will notice this). Seriously, I can show you the steps to my drawings some time and you'll see how much good lighting makes a difference.

You put tMC Link next to it, so why not look the shading and antialiasing of his sprite and do that with your sprite?  You might also want to use some other sprites for reference because the tMC player(Link) sprite has a specific coloring(also, full black outline) because of it being the main focal point.

You might also want to look up some pixelart guides. I'm sure there are a few of them on the internet. I haven't read any but if I find one I'll let you see it.
Your sprites are lacking anti-aliasing and that little bit extra to atleast fit in decently with tMC sprites, gradient shading probably isn't the best way to shade the tentacles, but that's not my decision.

A good tip is to start with smaller sprites, but don't limit yourself too much. Good luck!

The tentacles had actually Gradient Shading in the actual game. See in the attachment bellow

Sure, the sprite itself doesn't have to do anything with the boss. But I guess he is trying to do it in the style of tMC? Therefore he can use the sprite he put there for some help, even if it was mainly just there for height.


it is actually there for height.
^The above, and: why not use a character of another style that matches better if you are not aiming for tMC style.

Its the warning system doing its job. They've set your warning level high enough to be "moderated", so they track all of your posts and certain things you need approval for. Give the moderators time to approve the content. Or, you can alternatively send them a private message to review your submission.

It's a good start, though, the sprite is missing depth, more saturated colors, AA and better shading. I did a quick edit on it so you get the point, I hope it helps!

I loved the version of Sinkin, especially the eyes and cheek.
I think it's missing the detail of swirl on cheek yet.
The darkening of the colors on the sides gave a good sense of depth.
I also believe that the shadows of the bubbles could be all pink as the three bubbles at the top of the head.
Malefor could have also edited the tentacles with thorns which I referred.
Could be made as some animations like the vídeo:

Yeah, I missed the swirls, but I just wanted to point out the important things that was missing haha. I believe that the pink blobs on the head can be done better, like they are now, it's quite hard to find a nice way to shade it. I'll see if there is a better way to make 'em as soon as I get up from bed lol :P

Sinkin, I love the new version, but as leduardo said, it still needs the swirls on the cheeks, maybe I can fuse the swirls on the cheeks into your sprite later and see how it looks like.
EDIT: the  tentacles i did in the original sprite where made form the video, i print screened it for like 15 frames when the tentacles moved and then overcoated the tentacle with MC colours. Thats how I got that smooth movement on it, but the shading on it doesn't look right to me. Does anyone agree?

I know, I´ll make him taller, after the slenderman, I´ll post my attempt of the Minecraft Enderman in MC style.

To me it doesnt look right, it feels like its missing the back half of his body, and the arms look off. They need to be small and not triangularish.. But other then that its a great start, as the shading, color, and the claws look really nice. Although from a coding standpoint how would this be faught without motion controls? Well thats a game makers choice xD

I'm going to be honest, this needs some work,
Some issues I've found:
The arms have alot of jaggies, The enderman's head is kinda deformed.There are also some jaggies in the enderman's body. Splendorman's hat is kinda blocky. I also see jaggies on all of their heads. Color choice needs a bit more contrast. Their feet look like blobs.

the water is from kingmob´s shadowgazer, Leduardo used it for his Isle of Frost, I am using it because I want not only to make this island, but ALL the slands and put the together on one huge map.

Actually I think those are two sets of tiles, one overlaps the other, achieving the effect seen in Wind Waker.

Going from left-to-right, poses 9, 10, 11, and 12. If you can make the top "jaw" one pixel wider, then that could work. The stretching effect would fit into the cartoony style of MC.

I watched the video a bit and was really surprised to see that you used mspaint to create it!

I use MS paint to make everything I do, But I use GraphicsGale Also.

I once attempted to do the Deku palace in minish cap style... It didn´t go so well. There were sooo many tiling errors that looking at it now... *Shivers*
So I wanted to make a new and improved version of the Deku Palace!
It is still not finished, it still needs a lot of work.

The Deku Throne was made by Leduardo.
I made custom tiles like the colored wooden wall pillars and the doors.

I also put a fake KOT screen so you can see how it would look if it were in KOT XD!

Tell me if you want to have the green bee-hive walls in the throne room or if you like them as it is!

Actually in majoras mask he is standing in his chair doing his crazy dance.

I worked some more on this and I have the east field almost complete! There are a few areas I still need to tile, as you can see in the map.
In the original ALTTP map there are areas that don´t match up due to it being in sections. I don´t know if I should go the same way or if I should try to join the tiles that don´t match up. Any Ideas?

Wow thanks!! That means a lot! Yeah the grass in minish cap looked to yellow and bright. Not sure why nintendo used those colours but hey, they still look good. I used a darker green because A, it fits the color of Alttp, and B, I liked it when se used it in the KoT field. So I think its turing out great and its getting good feedback, which is awesome!

I recorded how I did half of the castle since I had the other half done. I finished it in 1 hour and 5 mins more or less.

I made Link´s house area and I started to do the swamp region. I just have to finish the swamp and do the desert entrance to finish the west of Hyrule!
Since the file is too large to be put on one simple sheet I decided to cut it in half. (If you want to see if complete just put them together on paint of Graphics Gale)

I have done A LOT of work on this. and since this is SO big, I just posted the eastern side of the map, staring with the castle area.
The eastern palace still needs to be tiled to completion and there are some areas that I have to start working on also.
When I finish all of the remaining field, I will move to Death Mountain, and that is going to be a pain XD

By the skies, that's awesome! I especially love how true-to-the-original the Eastern Palace area is.

Thats because I use the original as a base. Change the alttp tiles with the mc ones, but I sometimes have to modify the cliffs a little so they can fit to where I want them to be. I am also trying to make all the areas match perfectly, since in Alttp they didn't.

Yes, But those walls would change the layout a whole lot, and it would be very difficult to change it to those walls :/
I think this walls look good, and it is a change from the "classic" dungeon walls.

It looks good, but how would we tile this areas? There are very narrow walls and taller walls.

since they are a puzzle element:
- you could just "leave them be", for better viewing of the player and use a two tile straight wall on them
- you could make the new walls on them and have a small change in floor tiles

or the best solution, since you don't have a ds pen to guide the boomerang: redesign the puzzle for mc-controls

honestly, its your choice, only reason i point out that the walls needs changing is your telling us "PH Dungeon in MC Style" which its not until it's in mc style ;)
you do great sprites and tiles, without the "it's mc style" saying it would be more than fine and you can do what you want with your sprites

edit: btw whats up all those empty tiles? there ARE tiles beneath the fires of them (see attachment)

As for the walls Yue, I think I will keep this ones for now, I only wanted to sprite the temple BASED on minish cap style, but keeping as close to the original as possible.

So I have always though that Minish cap had weird cliffs. Now, don´t get me wrong, I LOVE Minish cap´s style, and the cliffs are actually really good. But I always thought the perspective was a bit off, like the sides and back are short and the front is way to long. So I made tiles using the MC tiles, but changing the perspective. I made all four sides the same height, and one tile tall. This gives more room for placing other tiles, and obviously we couldn´t forget of see-through water! I love when 2D games have this effect, and Minish cap lacked it. I thought it would fit MC very well, since link actually dives in-game.
Then, I edited the cliffs and made some variations, which can be arranged to make mountains and such. (The dirt cliffs on the far right could very well make death mountain)
I added a small preview of what it could look like put together, and I personally like it a lot. The cool thing about this is that only the cliffs are changed, and the rest is already made. Oh, And I changed the grass colour too XD

We could use this in King of Thieves, even though it would be a little bit of work since we would have to change the tiles a bit. But it would look SO much better. (specially in the River Basin, we could have chests and items underwater and link can dive to get them.)

So I attemped to sprite Morpheel in MC style... It didn´t go so well. This thing is MASSIVE! Like 6 times link´s size. I did the best I could, and only the mouth of the front view. To make a sprite sheet to put it into a MC style game, we would need to make the body, the head and the fins in ALL 8 directions + Looking up and down.

This one is truly hard to make XD

Ok, so I redid the mask completely and I think it looks much better now. I also attempted to make the mask in different directions, which will help later when animating the body.

I also changed a little bit the palette of the twili, just the part of their bodies, since the shadow beasts are corrupted Twili, they should have the same colours!

What do you think on the new mask?

I think it fits MC style a lot, now with the body and everything. I added the shadow beast to a random screenshot and it seems to fit quite well.

Isn´t she supposed to have whitish skin? Twili are supposed to be living in shadows, so no sunlight his their skin (Sunlight is even harmful to them) so their skin colour is very much white. I took reference from the actual model of midna in Yobi3d.com and various screens and videos on youtube.

i think beth is too much like illia... cince their haircuts are not very much alike..
idk how too descripe this... beth is like flat hairish- and ilia is like bigger and more hair overall...

thats not a quality comment for the sprites overall, just what is first saw with the illia/beth sprites in comparison, since beth is vastly different than illia as a person in hair and style

(its late here... i go to bed now and maybe look in the morning at it with a clearer head)

I´ll see what I can do. (The hair is an edited version of Malon for both of them, so that´s maybe why)

So I decided to edit Desgrades´ Zora sprite into a full sheet. I edited the body of the zora with King Mob´s Zora sprite. I made the walking animation of the front view and then made the side view and back view, and made the mask´s other views. Again this sprite is ORIGINALLY MADE BY DESGRADES, I do not claim it as my own, its simply an edit.

EDIT: I made a River Zora too, from the River Zora Miles and I made a while back, but with this Zora body.

You can easily distinguish between eyes, skin, hair etc. and there are also small black/darker borders to seperate e.g. the hair even more from the skin. That is not the case for Zant without his mask and Midna's true form. It is much harder to distinguish these aspects (eyes, hair) in those sprites. Also, what is that big white part at the bottom of Zant's face? His smile/teeth? It looks kind of weird.

Minish cap link is meant to stand out since he is the player. For Midna I used Minish Cap Din sprite as a base, so her face and body is Din's but with various alterations. Zant's head was edited from Midna and half made from scratch. I wanted his head to fit the mask perfectly. I tryed to add a mouth to Zant, but it didnt look right so I decided.to have him 'mouthless', but I might try and figure out a way to sprite it. Many minish cap characters have varied faces and bodies, some are harder to distinguish than others. But I'm trying my best to make this sprites, and criticism is always welcome to improve :) After all, I base many of my character sprites on already existing minish cap caracters, as a reference or as a base.

I worked more on Zant! I made the other views, fixed the over all body a little bit (Hardly noticeable) and added a mouth, 4ndaKava. I think it looks better with a mouth now.
I also tried to make Zant hug himself and turn in this weird way like he does in twilight princess just before the battle, and I think it turned out ok.

I attempted to sprite Ganon from Twilight Princess into Minish cap style. I am using the in-game model as a reference from here (https://www.yobi3d.com/#!/search?q=ganon&page=1).
I was also inspired by Pepeztyle´s Twilight Princess Ganondorf, which you can see in his Ralph sheet here (https://www.spriters-resource.com/resources/sheets/81/84294.png).

I'm not quite sure which sprite you are refering to when you said they are geing used haha. Recently Ive been trying to make sprites from scratch to challenge myself to improve. For Ganon I used the model, resized it and worked from there. Zant was also made from scratch for example, it took me a while to get the mask right, that was quite hard.

Anyway, that looks incredible Brad! Seems like a daunting tast to complete, just imagine animating that thing.

Thanks! I will first make the other views first and then animate it (maybe) I believe it can be done, with time and determination xD

The front tusks are really hard to do for some reason, they go straight and then up a bit. Not sure how to make it look just right haha, since when I tryed to sprite the tusks first they just looked round :/

I attempted to make the Guardians from Breath of the Wild, I only did the head.
I also edited Link and made the BotW version, with the Champion´s clothes.
Also, I sprited the Breath of the wild font, the Sheikah writing I mean.

A simple edit of the MC trees to make more variations. I always thought the original trees were too short, so I made some that are taller.

EDIT: I edited the Minish Cap cliffs so that they can be placed diagonally and are much smoother, and so that they can be taller if the mapper wants them to. You can see how they work on the example.

Nice! I edited it a little bit.
EDIT: I moved the leafs and trunk a bit so that they fit the grid better. The small version of the tree looks a lot like the Alttp tree, which is awesome!

I started humming the ALttP Dark World theme upon seeing those trees, before reading the text! Nicely done, Brad and Rayo!

Now you just need a white palette or snow-covered treetops and you'd have some assets for making all four seasons represented!

Nice ledges. I have a request for the trees though. is it possible make tiles so that it's easy to bunch them up? like how in the game boy zelda games the trees have tiles that give the illusion of a cluster of trees

These trees are made to be put in clusters, you can see that in the map below as an example.

Actually you have something here with these ledges and rocks. you should expand on it, make it for every overworld area in minish cap.

I actually have that planned for the future :)

So I continued with the ALTTP map, changing the cliffs and trees, and I think it looks way better. What are your thoughts on this? There is still a lot of work to do and tiles to change.

What I did for the roofs was that I copied the middle and duplicated it to fit a whole tile (Its actually quite easy.)

So I made The hero´s shade in MC style. I think it looks quite good. Its a bit dark, but that´s how it was in TP, and I did use the MC palette, I looked for colors that were as close to the original. I think I pullet if off. Not too sure about the side view though.

I guess I can give lana a shot, volga was in Leduardo´s sprite thread.
I cannot see the map properly, try putting it on paint and on the attachment of your post. (But from what I an see it looks nice!)
Also, you should create your own thread and place the map (and any other work you make) there :)

Oh my, those are mine haha, made them back in 2010  :-[

Anyway, I think you can make the Bokoblin a little bit bigger, if you look at the screenshots and art of it you can see that his body is kinda shaped like a pear. You can also see that he got a more hunching pose with his legs far apart kinda like a sumo stance.

I have made something new today! I was looking through spriters resource Minish cap gallery and I came across the inside maps for the shrinking areas, and there was a very cool crystal formation inside it. I thought it looked cool, but I edited it to look more like a Ruppee, or more crystaline. (I was imagining a crystal theme area, maybe made of rupees, unlike rupee land, maybe a new iteration of Ruppee land XD)

I expanded upon the small crystal and made small barriers, though I cannot decide whether to keep the rounded sides or the more square ones.

What do you guys think of this? Should I expand into crystal cliffs and more stuff?

Thanks! I based the animation on the zol animation. I remeber your MM chuchu, it was awesome!

The patamon sprite will be useful to base the movement of the ears of the zol for the side view, thanks!

you might want to look at some other digimon sprites... i looked for the theeth ( since there are top down sprites as well for digimon )

I attempted to make the Malice goop that covers parts of Hyrule into MC style.
How this works is that it is in several layers. The purple goop goes underneath the black outline. The green background is then made transparent. Then place it on top of your map.

I still have to make those malice spikes, eyeballs and mouths.

I made the upper body of the Guardian Stalker. It´s starting to take form! :D
The body will rotate too, I just didn´t have the time to animate it.

The blue and black strip there is animated, they are the gears under the head of the guardian.

I´m having difficulty spriting the things on top of the guardian´s head in the other directions for some reason. I need help with that.

The only things remaining are the lower part of the body and the legs. The lower part of the body will rotate too, and the legs will come out of them. I think I will make the legs with separate pieces, like Gleerok.

I finally finished this! After a lot of trial and error I managed to make the top things on the head.

I´m really happy with the end result, and if anyone plans to make a 2D breath of the Wild, they are welcome to use it, just give credit XD

I attempted to recreate the Zoras from BotW. I edited King Mob´s Twilight Princess Zora sprite to make this, since they look quite similar.

I remade Mipha, made Sydon and other Zoras, both male and female. They are not animated, yet.

Back again with another BotW sprite. This time I made the Keese  from Botw. I gave the MC keese detail and tweaked it a bit, and I then decided to make other directions for the keese, since Minish Cap only had the front view.

Anyway, what do you think of this?

I know right? The Rito kids are too cute too! Specially Teba´s son, with the spiky feathers, He is so cute. I also feel really bad then I accidentally (or intentionally) attacked him and he just started to weep.

So! I did some pine trees! I did different types of pine trees to see how they would look.
The trunk can be customized to anyone´s liking, tall, short, with branches, without, branches with leafs, others without...
I also made the trunks being cut from different directions, like in BotW, where depending on where you cut it, the tree falls on that direction.
The trunk is the same for all trees, except palm trees.

As for the leafs, I tried several things for them, and ended up with 3 examples.
1 is based on the leafs and branches from the MC´s pine tree.
2 has the same trunk but the leafs are custom made.
3 is a mix between the two.
I personally like 1 the most, though 2 looks mote like BotW pine trees. Which one do you guys like the most? 1, 2 or 3?

You mean as in Minish Cap where they merge together? Simple, they don´t. In real life trees don´t merge like that, they grow independently with space between one another. Same thing applies here. It allows Link to move around between them and for mushrooms, paths, rocks, and even enemies and animals to be in between the trees. Have a look at the quick example I made so you can see what I mean.

I´m trying to see which canopy looks best for the pine tree. I tried to add large branches to the pine trees, but its fills up a lot of space. What do you guys think of this? Do you think the one without the extra leafs looks better or the one with the extra leafs? if you don´t like any of them, do you have an idea of how it could be improved?

So I began working on another guardian type. This time its the Guardian Turret. I also modified my Guardian stalker a little bit, mainly the eye and patterns on the heads while turning.

The turret will be a lot of work, considering that the head has to turn and the things on the sides rotate while its spins too. Also the body is different from the stalker´s body, so it can´t be reused.

I am trying my very best to recreate King Mob´s Minish Cap Epona from his 2008 project The Legend of Zelda: The Shadowgazer.
How I´m doing this is surprisingly quite simple. I have print-screened every frame of Epona seen on one of his videos. Then, I resized them roughly to the size of the ones shown on the screenshots on his main page. I then proceed to clean the sprite to the best of my ability.
I have only recreated the side running animation, and I think I have done a pretty good job with it.

When I have the others done, i will post them. Sadly, the video doesn´t show EVERY movement Epona makes in every single pose, just the ones in the attachment below. I will only RECREATE the sprites seen, and maybe create new ones. If anyone wants to expand the sheet they are welcome to do so.

EDIT: I have added a custom move to Epona. She is now rearing.

There is literally no way of contacting him at all; he's moved on to other things since he stop making the Shadowgazer, since then has stopped contact with people of the fan game community, this also goes for MiT, but MiT left everything on his own website for anyone to use. If you are lucky, there has been some sprites and tilesets made by him somewhere on the internet. A while back I found tilesets by him on some sprite website when I was looking for lttp sprites and tiles.

That´s a shame really... I wish he came back to the forum once again, he was a great artist.

I have done something new today. I did the Shrine of Resurrection in MC style. I was actually inspired by  this map made by Thurpok (http://thurpok.deviantart.com/art/Zelda-BOTW-Minish-Cap-style-676447913). However, this map doesn't fit any grid, nor is it accurate to the actual shrine of resurrection, but its close. I decided to make my own map with my own tiles, but I used some parts of his map, like the terminal of the Sheikah Slate and the constellation patterns on the walls. I used the same palette as my Guardian sprites, since they are made of the same tech/material.

Because its a recreation of a sprite that has already been done. All I´m doing is restoring the sprite seen on a video that is nowhere else on the internet.

Yeah, if anything he could be going under a different name on Youtube somewhere. Other than that anything Shadowgazer just vanished from it. Also the people on YT claim because of Nintendo he stopped his game, which is false, the reality is he stopped making the game himself, lost motivation.

Another Breath of the Wild sprite! I began working on Kass and made the front and side view, but they don't have clothes, and they only have arms on the side view. After I made Kass, I edited him and the Revali sprite I had done earlier and made a taller version of Revali, since the Rito are quite tall in breath of the Wild (as every other race)

EDIT: I gave Revali clothes and arms.

After seeing Leduardo's Tijo Sprite, I wanted to make the Ocarina of Time Zoras, which I attempted time and time again, and never got the good result. However, I think I made the definite version, using the color palette Leduardo used for his sprite, and mixing King Mob's Zora Sprites with leduardo's and a bit of a Goron too. The final result is this.

Tell me what do you think, and what you would improve.

EDIT: I made a nearly all of The Indigo-Go's members, and Ruto. The last member was made by Leduardo entirely, I just put him these for comparison.

I picked up this sprite again. I made the side view thanks to this image (https://no-one-o1.deviantart.com/art/Dark-Beast-Ganon-84684457).
I can´t find good images of the 4 diagonals or the front and back views anywhere. I am using Yobi3D to move the 3D model around, but the arms are on a T position, making it had to actually get the position I want. Could anyone try to edit the model so it doesn´t have the arms sticking out? https://www.yobi3d.com/q/ganon

And if possible, the running animation, since in videos its hard to capture the entire run cycle.

i'm trying to get the shape of the front view correct, but I am not happy with it completely. I don´t know why this view is harder than the others lol. the Tusks are also a pain to get right, since on the model its even hard to see, that is as close as I could get it. as for the arms, I've been searching for a good front image of Ganon standing, but I found nothing, so I had to edit the 3d Model in Paint. however, I don´t like the arms, and the legs seem off too. Any help with this view?

I used this sprite (https://www.deviantart.com/orkimides/art/Crimson-Loftwing-389662428) to make the body of the loftwing, resizing and recoloring it. I also got the wings to start working on the front view. I also used Leduardo's version a little to blend them together.

I attempted to sprite Yunobo and a generic Goron. I can´t seem to get the hands right, so I didn´t include them. I used some fragments from Dreadlock Detective's Yunobo to make it, mainly the hair and the scarf.

I Changed the color of the gorons to fit more thecolor of the gorons in-game. I used the palette of Biggoron from Minish Cap, and to be honest this palette should have been the one used for the gorons, since its the same color as the ones from OoT and now in BotW.

I think both colors look nice but on the Biggoron palette the third skin tone is a little too bright for me, that can make the sprites look flat.

Isn't Daruk a little too big? :p

Daruk is quite big in the game xD As for the color, I did see that the third color was too bright, so I skipped that one. basically I used the first, second, fourth and fifth colors of Biggoron.

So from what I've seen of various bits of advice from around the internet, MC style sprites tend to look down at an angle, maybe something like 45 degrees or so, from above. What that should translate to when drawing is short legs, and a reasonable amount of the tops of the subject's head. For example, when I was fiddling around making that Kass sprite the other day, I used the legs off of your one, but I took well over 50% of the height off of them. Makes it look like they're being viewed from above, as the full view of the leg is being obscured by the fact that there is more upper leg in the way of the lower leg.

I applied those same general guidelines to your Goron sprite; it's by no means perfect, but kind of shows what I'm getting at.

Note the face being lowered, and the changes to the legs (to the point where you can no longer see them. Gorons are enormous, but with teeny tiny legs. Realistically, you shouldn't really be able to see them at all, but they look strange without at least some feet poking out). There's also some mild changes to shading that help convey angle.

Yeah, I have the colors for the dark skinned ones, I'll edit this post with them when I get home. And go ahead and edit them if you like! I believe we should all work together to make these sprites!

I see what you mean, but to be honest, I've never truly liked the Minish Cap Goron Sprite, and I'll tell you why:

The palette used. I never understood why they were brown when Biggoron and every other goron in previous games were yellow-ish, heck even in BotW they are yellow. In Wind Waker, which style is practically Minish Cap in 3D, the gorons were still yellow.

The front, side and back view all are completely independent, they don´t line up in height. For the side view the arms are longer, the legs and feet are thinner than the front view, as the feet on the front view look extremely large, and on the back view the goron is just shorter than the other two sides. I put a size comparison on the attachment so you see what I mean.

Then the eyes are on the front view shaded while on the side view its one plain color.

I know what you mean when you say the feet should be hidden, but i've never personally liked that, you hardly see anything, which I guess its why they made the feet so large in MC.

The feet I used for the Goron are actually the side view of the MC goron, just tweaked a bit. I edited the sprite based on your edit, and I made different versions of the feet to see which one looks best (I still like the first one XD)

I also made the Goron cross his arms using the Goron Chief sprite from King Mobs's Shadowgazer.

I made Twilight Princess Link using an animation of adult link I found a long time ago here in ZFGC, though I can´t seem to find the actual post of person who made it, if you find him please tell me so I can credit him. I used Sinkin's BotW Link and also used Twilight Princess Link by Hikolol35 (https://www.deviantart.com/hikolol35/art/Twilight-Princess-Link-Sprites-142221560) and OoT Link by RedKnightX (https://www.deviantart.com/redknightx/art/Adult-Link-OOT-in-Minish-Cap-style-415467596) to make the sprites, and to use the colors. I also put together Skyward Sword and Ocarina of Time Link.

The main plot thread for my game will be to rebuild Castle Town, and these are the houses I wanted to use. Coincidently they're almost identical to the buildings in BotW, pre-Calamity. My Castle Town map is spaced out to allow for the buildings to fit wherever they need to, but I need to have ruined versions for the start of the game before anything is rebuilt. I dunno how possible it would be to edit these but wherever I've seen your buildings they always seem to come out rather perfectly. If you fancied helping a brother out, I'd be eternally grateful. Once they're done I should even be able to get a playable demo together relatively shortly, the basic running, attacking, dialogue, enemies and things are done. I dunno how much work this would entail or if it's even something you'd care to do, but if you're interested, let me know :)

In Minish Cap there was a sidequest where you had to build houses for the Oracles. They did have a sprite for a semi constructed house, which is just wooden planks. I believe you can use that to make what you want. I hope it helps.

I quickly whipped up some stone foundations based on the bottom of King Mob's houses, there's a couple bits of stone to suggest rubble. Creating ruins of the wooden parts of the houses would be more difficult, but maybe you can put some broken planks around to imply that the wooden parts have since fallen down too.

I found a screenshot of the cancelled game Midora that had these spiky plants crawling out of a temple, that looked exactly like the tentacles of Phytops from Spirit Tracks. I decided to get a piece of that plant, edit, recolor it, and animate it to look like a tentacle to have them be the tentacles from the Phytops we did a while back. This is the result.

EDIT: I edited the blobs that cover the eyes. (not on the animation though)

I was bored and decided to put together an Ice Dungeon Tileset. I used the tiles from Talus Cave and Death Mountain from Four Swords, and the tiles from the Temple of Droplets from MC to make this.

The idea is that the walls are made of pure ice, and so would the floor. There could also be snow as normal floor, instead of having all the floor be ice.

Yeah, with no dark lines it's very ephemoral, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. You've made a good choice making the walls blue and floor green to tell them apart, because parsing what's what is most important

I tried my best make the Sky from dark hyrule castle using screenshots form various places, but I still had to fill in the gaps myself the best I could, since I don´t have the actual MC sky BG. from this I then recolored it to make the Twilight Realm Sky.

EDIT: Rayo sent me the actual background which he ripped using an emulator. So here is that background and the edited Twilight Realm.

EDIT 2: I kept messing with the sky and made normal sky too, which fits so well with the mountaintop background from MC. It can also be used for a MC styled Skyloft

I edited the sky to have more clouds and made it in layers to have the clouds be loopable with paralax. The background would be completely static, and only the clouds in front would move. all layers would follow the camera movement.

I decided to edit Minish Cap Vaati to look more like the Four Swords counterpart, since the design for Vaati in Four Sword and Four Sword adventures is somewhat different from the one in Minish cap. This is the result.

The main problem I found is Vaati Transfigured's sprite sheet in spriters resource isnt really accurate, as the eye is separate form the body, which is a black and blue ball, which in the sprite sheet in SR has the Eye plastered on it. I also found out that the wings on the Vaati Wrath sprite sheet wasn´t accurate either, so I had to recreate some of them. there are 8 frames and the SR sprite sheet had 9 with some that dont even exit in-game.

I took the liberty to edit pepeztyle's Ganondorf (which was originally made by Darklink), and animated him. I changed the palette, made him look less fat and added his cape. I may continue to animate him, but it will be very hard.

Edit: I made the walk animation too.

I went ahead and made all of Ganondorf's designs, including his Hyrule Warriors and Breath of the wild design (Mummy and Re-hydrated versions). I also tweaked my Wind Waker ganondorf to be the same size to the others.
I used Pepeztyle's Re-dead to make the BotW Ganondorf.

One of my first attempts at pixelart was making Bellum (Rather Bellumbeck) in MC Style, which I consider a total failure looking back XD. Today I started working on Bellum. I will expand on this as I go. I will fully animate him too.

It's not 3/4 top down, at least the mouth isnt... The bottom half looks 3/4 but the mouth looks like I'm looking at it from the side, very awkward. I personally find the palette too green for my taste, I'd go more yellow/golden brown. I like how you've given the eye such potential for animation though, Id love to see it follow Link around a room!

Yeah, I did this today. but to be fair I'm using the 3D model as a reference (however the textures are completely messed up).
I'm actually going to make Bellum rotate on the X, Y and Z axis, 8 directions for each, so the 3/4 top down would be one of the angles
All of these of course with 3 states, eye/mouth open, semi open, closed. It's going to take a while XD
