Never read the original graphic novel, but the trailer certainly looked impressive. Let's just hope it takes on a life of its own rather than simply being 300: Part 2 
lmfao, there isn't a possible way to do that with Watchmen.
The trailer is amazing because it makes it look like just another action-packed superhero flick. While !@#$% !@#$% goes down in Watchmen, it has very little action and more mindfuckery.
