I'm currently working on a game in GM8, It is planned to have online coop.
I'm working with the DLL, 39dll for online support since GM8's basic online support sucks.
I have an intermediate understanding of 39dll.
I'm wondering what I should send data-wise so it's efficient and works on 2-4 "clients" with minimal bytes being sent.
I know I should Sync up collisions but but should I just send the x, y, direction, speed, and if it's dead and so forth.
What to you guys think I should do for it? I'm kind of lost, TBA.

You have a bunch of things to consider. First off, whats the server? Is it its own machine, or does one of the players host a match and act as a server?
Second, we can't determine what data you need to send without you telling us about your game. But yes, you definitely want to send the x,y, direction and state. Speed probably isn't necessary because that's a derivative of position (although you might want to send it for server-side validation to prevent speed hecking)

You got a point. The server is run in the game itself but the one hosting a game.

I have no idea what you just said.

Edit: NVM, I pretty sure I that I have what I need for it to work correctly.
