<3 And there's some new gameplay videos, too, as well as a few more new images. They're over at IGN- whaddya think of them?

Personally this only intensifies my excitement!

The graphics do look great, but... There's a certain kind of... jaggedness? I don't know, maybe the game won't look like that in motion (in fact, judging from the videos I've watched, it probably won't), but all the screenshots just seem to have a kind of silly quality.

Looks great, though.

Although it's not as noticeable in motion, after just watching a video of it I found that the edges were still jagged. This is because, if I'm not mistaken, the Wii lacks to power to properly utilize anti-aliasing, which basically makes the edges look less jagged at the cost of using quite a large amount of processing power.

Super Mario 64/Sunshine didn't look jagged at all. Why is it that the GameCube could do it but the Wii can't?

It's called "screen-shot". It's not perfect.

Because the gamecube works at lower resolutions, so the image you're seeing needs to be blown up, plus the additional blur that is applied by your tv.  The picture on the wii is much clearer than that of the GC, it's like how the porn industry doesn't like how HD adds a whole lot of wrinkles and stuff that were previously invisible because of the lower quality.

Meh, I have a tiny TV anyways, so I don't really have to deal with these issues. (16 inches, w00t)

Ah, that makes sense. If only Nintendo had taken a few extra steps... But, Super Mario Galaxy looks good in motion, despite these screenshots.

Why do you know that?

Don't forget that Nintendo adds in the AA reasonably late in development.

I thought Nintendo consoles didn't AA period. Turns out they don't "fully utilise it".

Meh, it still looks bloody amazing.

Three Health=Harder game. Nintendo games have been getting easier and easier, so it'd be cool if Galaxy was harder then 64.

I think it's easier platforming, but harder to survive.

I've seen screenshots where Mario has seven health. Maybe you get more later in the game.

Perhaps there's a difficulty setting?
