I'd wager it's better than SM:RPG.  Not because Bowser's Inside Story was any good, but because SM:RPG was THE WORST.

I always liked the mini boss theme.

It's probably not legal to share those MP3s.  Can you post YouTube links instead?

I see.  Well then, forget the comment about the roundy bit.  Maybe make it less round?  That's an idear.  Because right now it looks like a badly drawn circle.

I tried playing around with the body palette, but it doesn't look very good.  You shouldn't use any of these as a final product.  I can't bother with it anymore right now though because I'm tiiired.  z.z

You should make that ring-thing on top rounder.  DJ had it perfect.

Maybe consider changing the body colour.  First of all, it's not even close to the picture Leduardo posted—which I can only assume is how it appears in the game—and it looks a bit like it's made of cheese.

How can just touching what you want to interact with make input (which I take is what you meant to type) less practical than navigating to it with a joystick and buttons?

Maybe because you have to hold the system with one hand and look at a different screen to see what you're pressing.  Buttons are so much more convenient.  Also, you can press buttons a lot quicker than you can tap a screen.

What is different about buttons and joysticks is they weren't gimmicks.  They made import more practical; while touch screens, motion sensing, microphones, etc. make it less practical.  They're not even trying to make controllers better anymore, just different.

Do I mind?  I insist!  I mean, if you want to.

Do you need the animation for the deep water?

Well here's this…  It looks a smidge better than my previous mock-up.

Oh, !@#$%, LttP has its own deep water tiles.  What was I thinking?  brb…

The tiles you used for water looks like a floor/carpet in LttP.  I really think that should be changed.  What would probably look best is the animated dungeon water from LttP, with the solid borders removed (and make a darker version for deep water of course).

Here's a quick mock-up.

Given the style he's going for, I imaging the AA would be hard to improve using so few colours.

I think MM is the only game that was buggy.  You can play OOT on Gamecube with no problems.

In MM I never had problems with saves getting corrupt like you said Mammy, but the game would randomly freeze sometimes.  The worst time I can remember is after I beat the Snowhead Temple, got approved to use Powder Kegs, got the Gold Dust, and got the Gilded Sword; then I went back to Clock Town—because I always deposit my rupees before going back in time—and the game froze there.  I'm pretty sure I quit playing after that.  Because of MM's horrible saving system, it's actually preferable to play on an emulator because you get savestates.  >:3

Are you guys talking about the master quest disc? I bought it for $5 :D

Yes, that and the Collector's Disc which includes OOT, MM, Z1, and Z2.  I can't remember what I spent on them.  Probably around $15 each.

Oh yeah, emulators for the PC really suck. It never beats playing the original on the N64. :P
As long you use an accurate emulator with a powerful enough PC, there's virtually no difference except a bit of input lag.
And the lack of an N64 and N64 controller. An emulator will just never match up to the real deal.

You can use any PC controller, many of which are better than an N64 controller.  Or there's even USB adapters to use the actual N64 controller.  I have one of those.

don't say the for the Gamecube, because both disc's containing OOT were freebees with original Gamecube games TWW and Mario Kart DD/Mario Party 8(?)/1080 Avalanche.

But I had to pay for them.  (`ο´)ノ

As a matter of fact (or a matter of opinion), Nintendo SHOULD have sold those two Zelda Gamecube discs, because the only way to get a hold of them (if you didn't get them during the promotion) is through ebay, secondhand shops, etc.  I was lucky enough to find both of them at Gamestops near where I live.
