Cameras don't really work the same way as the eye does so .. basically what happened was the sunset was quite intense and so I took the picture so it would capture the sunset, but as a result of that everything else became much darker :p basically.

I have always wished for a camera which sees things the way the eye does, because sometimes I see something and I'm like "that would look nice as a picture" or something, but then I take the picture and it comes out shitty because the colours are all wrong or it just doesnt look right as a photograph.

Heh yeah I get that problem a lot. That's where photoshop and stuff can help correct the colours.. most of the time though the camera should be fairly accurate, just not quite as good as the eye at detecting light, etc.

(The images stretch the forum still so just open them in a new tab or whatever to see the full size ish...)

And another shot of the moon. It was pretty big and orange-ish last night...

That pic was actually cropped out of a larger picture and that's about as big as I can make it really. If you want, just stick the whole thing on a black background and center it :p

EDIT: 700 posts olo. T__T

The specific one I use is the Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D...
Though Canon and Nikon are pretty good in general if you're just getting started (and even if you're more serious about photography too I guess)
