As the title says. Im trying to finish my computer graphics portfolio for my uni course and I need to use an animator to make animated GIFs.

(If it can have transparency that would be great as well)

Adobe Illustrator can do it as well, but you most likely need to pay for it.

Look up GIF Movie Gear, it's pretty simple and easy to use.

Adobe ImageReady does the trick for me. Of course you'll have to buy it or pirate it.

Second'd. It does transparant GIF too.
Animation Shop 3 is ok too, a bit more options.

Microsoft Gif Animator...simple old free..wikia it and it has a link to the download.

You asked for simple and easy...

Since it seems more like a list of programs that do it at the moment...

Photoshop CS4 has a feature for doing animated images.

Also, the website http://gickr.com/ does it.  Don't have too much control over the length each frame is displayed.

Just a few more options...  ::)
