wow, like half the credits are from here.Does that surprise you? ZFGC is a pretty large name in the zelda fan gaming community (obviously) <_<
I come from ZFGC (zfgc.com), AKA Zelda Fan Game Central. This project caught my attention instantly, and yet how can such a great fan-game/heck not be on ZFGC?! I highly recommend making a topic there. It'd be great for direct feedback.
And even more, there's a whole chunk of people that actively go to ZFGC (or at least used to) that are in your credits list and that I even know! (well, over the internet that is :P) I'm sure they'd love to know that their work has been used in such a great working!
The reason might be because some people can't play it. I sure can't. A more detailed instruction manual would be nice, you know. :-\are you kidding? its ridiculously easy to apply the patch to the rom
How do I play the game?
1) The story is no good, nor does it make any sense. All the typos and bad grammar make it feel quite amateurish.
2) It suffers from WAY too much backtracking. You have to go up and down various floors in the guard house just to get the sword.
3) The "difficulty" comes from poor dungeon and enemy design. To make a room difficult, he basically puts spikes in the way.
On a technical level, the game is great. The new graphics give it a fresh appearance. But the actual game itself is severly lacking.

i was at the guard tower but died... the saving really sucks because everytime i start from the beginning...the emulator your using should have its own method of saving.
Hm... :-\
My emulator (snes9x) won't play it. I've tried it with ZSNES and it doesn't work either.

EDIT: Thanks, Takam. :) Man, this is a nice heck. Lots of custom graphics and even more confusing than the original.
well.... he is right... the "difficulty" ( i wasnt as far as he was ) is just that you have to go all way through the map and back and stuff like that, with enemys on the map, in a dark rainy night, with darker tiles WITHOUT A WEAPON.... and that is the beginning... ( where you can get a 1/4 container an a full container... so max. 4hearts before the guard tower )
i find it a little long for the beginning... go to the guard tower,
normal zelda: hmkay, go up, there you are, meet guy, get sword, uh bad guys *killing whirl*
heck: go to the village, go without any meaning in a house and get bombs... go to a cave with a entry to dark to see, get 1/4 heart, go the church ( why ever), get a full heart, go through a cave with am fake enemy, a armos, bats and get a lamp, get out *you are at your house* go back to the village, through a cave which doesnt look like one, go through more caves which are bad designed *open chests with nothing in it!* come to the guard tower, "with even more enemys for the non exsisting fighting ability*--> *died@searchingguyandmeetiunganaggressiveguardwithanhalfheartleftandstillhavenosword*
well some things that i never saw in a zelda game and the heck has:
- half an hour and no "swordlike" item
- the first guys you have to meet are "so far away"
- between you and your first weapon is an army of enemys
- you have to go through a labyrinth of some miles to get the first "mainquest"
- so much empty containers, even when you really need a heart
- so much money you dont even need
- no saving
- "noone knows where to go next"
well and thats sad... but like i said before, nice graphics :jellytime:
no you don't, he planned it all out correctly. In order to open the big chests you saw, you need the BIG CHEST KEY not just the BIG KEY
couldnt figure out the church backroom stuff :D
dont know why im saying this so proudly :P
where do you go after you've done the first dungeon?
It's such a frustrating game, really. I still didn't get past the Guards House, or whatever it is called. You need a key here, you need a key there... dammit.
but now i dont find the third dungeon :(
where do you go after the guards house, I got the Zora Scale already.
Quote from: yuebut now i dont find the third dungeon :(
Just catch the running man in Kakariko, he will tell you where is. Make sure you have the bracelet to lift stones.
Whats the combination for the Lost Woods?
How do I get the Flipper/Zora Scale?
I wouldn't use the saving that the game uses I just use the saving that my emulator provides.I had no problems, but I'll take that advice.
how? just tell me pls ^^ i know how to catch him in lttp but here he has some event that makes me stop O_o
I saved after I got the Lantern and when I came back to the game, everything was gone and I had to begin from the start (though, my file still existed)... Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Ugh... I just died. This is annoying D:...
The gloves are in Din's Catacomb. The area where the spikes and shooters are has a wall that you can blow up in the (south wall.)
This game has a rather annoying 2nd part:
!SPOILER!
After defeating the third dungeon boss a voice tells you to go to the church.
You go there and its the same old: priest dead and zelda stolen senario.
You are told to goto the Smiths shop then after a long time you recieve your level 2 sword!
You goto to the castle, defeat whats his face and he takes you to the parallel world.
But wait you don't have the mirror do you?
WTF? There is no way back?
Can you make an exe file of the game?
Or... which program do i need?
