Eh, I don't want Navi stationary and I don't want her to just do lame ass things. Does anyone have any ideas (or a small engine) for movement that allows her to... act intelligent? Move_Towards_Point and other things... too simple =/.

By combining several movement ideas I managed to get a really impressive circling around Link, many moons ago. However, if you want her to act intelligent, the best thing I'd say is to have her interacting with the environment. Have objects and bad guys that she circles as well as link... One problem I see a lot is her following is always so linear in speed, it looks much better to have her speed up and slow down in the following.

What I did was to have a user defined event in Navi that occurs at the set off of an alarm that is triggered randomly that changes Navi's speed and direction to go in Link's general direction.

You are a global moderator and you can't do a simple task of creating a Navi system? !@#$%! I should be the global moderator, I'm a Game Maker expert. What kind of crap that is? yeesh.  >:(

Where in the Global Moderator requirements does it mention "Must know code"? Oh yea, it doesn't...

http://www.zfgc.com/index.php?topic=9.0 Too bad I do any way.

If you're a "GameMaker Expert" and it's a "simple task," instead of replying to a thread that didn't need replying to with NO USEFUL information, why not actually help?

That's why you're a Deku and I'm a moderator.
