« on: May 21, 2014, 08:21:57 pm »
I'm too lazy to find the topic if it exists. So here's an info dump.

Quote
Producer: Hisashi Koinuma, Yosuke Hayashi
Supervisor: Eiji Aonuma
Developer: ω-Force・Team NINJA
Link sets off to rescue Princess Zelda, who has been kidnapped by the evil witch Shia.
The magazine introduces Link, Impa, Shia, and some of her minions (whose names start with 'Va' and 'Wi').
Location includes Hyrule Field
Interview with Koinuma, Hayashi, and Aonuma. Says there's some unexpected playable characters.

Package price of \7,980, DL price \6,980. Also a premium box for \11,644.

The premium box contains a Tri Force shaped tabletop clock, and six serial codes for special costumes.

Two players can play simultaneously, one playing off the TV and the other playing off the game pad. During single play, the game pad is used as a sub menu.

The play style evolves with the ability to set your character with various weapons, such as the speed focused sword and damage focused heavy weapons.

The game has a weapon strengthening system and elements of character growth.

Uses the action style of Dynasty Warriors as a base, and adds the Z-targeting from the Zelda games. Skillful play makes avoiding attacks and aiming for enemy weak points simple.

The Zelda series's familiar spin attack is replaced with the Musou attack from Dynasty Warriors.

The bomb returns. It sounds as though its use isn't limited to chucking at enemies.

Impa, a newly appointed captain of the Hyrule army, is confirmed as a playable character. She uses a giant sword.

Besides Link and Impa, the game is expected to have a number of other playable characters. Aonuma is even noted commenting on the great number of characters planned.

The game will be playable at E3.

Current development progress is 70% complete.

Boob lady there is a witch named Shia (she's already been mentioned as Zelda's kidnapper) and that guy is Varuga.

Also that thing in the lower-right of the last scan is Wizuro, if I translated that properly.

Source, Source, Source

Also here's a few better-quality pics

Entertainment / Big Stuff for 3DS Coming Up!
« on: February 02, 2013, 02:06:19 am »
Hey, it's me! Here to be all excited about upcoming awesome games!

So here it is. Remember, all dates are for NA release.

First up we have Fire Emblem: Awakening, hitting 3DS any day now (seriously, street date is no longer existent). Taking place thousands of years after Marth's time, the adventure stars Chrom and a character designed by you, the player! Though this Avatar may not have the powers of the elements under their control (unless they go the route of Mage or other similarly attuned classes), he (or she) does play an integral role in the events of the story. Also, they aren't silent, but you do get to choose which voice works best for them. There's a demo available RIGHT NOW!

Next up is Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titans. A demo hits next Thursday which allows you to transfer all progress from it into the full game, releasing on the 26th of February. This fourth installment in the franchise that began on Nintendo DS takes the party into the skies! The soundtrack is once again done by the legendary Yuzo Koshiro as with the previous installments, and if you're interested in the previous 3 Amazon has just restocked them! Be sure to check this one out if you're a fan of first-person dungeon crawlers with a bit of challenge to them. Also if you have a taste for cartography, as you draw out the map of every floor of the dungeon yourself, a staple of the franchise.

On March 5th, we get Naruto Powerful Shippuden... but no one cares about that.  ;) On the same day we get Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, the interlude game between the original LoS and the upcoming sequel. This one also combines the battle and magic system of LoS with the exploration of the Metroidvania entries, and sports a story spanning hundreds of years. Playing as Trevor Belmont (and eventually his descendant Simon along with the Alucard of this continuity), you'll be able to explore Dracula's castle in 4 different time periods, all in a story revolving around the titular Mirror of Fate.

March 19th brings us Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, a massive enhancement to 2009's Monster Hunter Tri (Wii). This one allows for crossplay between the 3DS version and the Wii U version, allowing players to freely move saves between the two to keep at their hunts wherever they may be. There are over 50 new monsters to hunt, along with loads of new equipment to forge. If you're unsure whether this is for you, look for a demo later this month (around February 21, actually).

March 24th brings us two sequels to some fun games. First up is Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Taking control of the cowardly green plumber, the player will help Professor Elvin Gadd figure out what happened to cause the mysterious Dark Moon to shatter and the formerly friendly ghosts helping him to turn against him. The action isn't limited to a single mansion either; this time around, Luigi will be exploring several mansions of various structure. The ghosts are also much more cunning this time around, some of them even sporting sunglasses to protect themselves from Luigi's flashlight!

Also releasing that date is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. Though the Pokémon selection is smaller than in previous installments, it is the first to feature fully 3D models. This is also the first installment to feature Generation V Pokémon, somewhat silly considering Generation VI launches this October. Regardless of that, there's three things I'm excited about regarding this installment. First off is the removal of the Hunger meter present in previous Mystery Dungeon games; it returns in a few dungeons, but no longer will you have to shove a Big Apple down your Pokémon's throat to stop it from starving all the time. The second thing is the story; Mystery Dungeon games always have a phenomenal one, and I eagerly await seeing what twists and turns this one will bring. Lastly, there's the Magnagates. By pointing the 3DS's camera at a circular object (a cup, a doorknob, a Navi plush, etc), dungeons will be created that you can explore with a randomly chosen party. You can also save up to 16 of these dungeons for later exploration.

These are just the next two months as well. Other releases to look forward to are Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoners - Soul Hackers (4/16), Animal Crossing: New Leaf (Early 2013), Project X Zone (sometime this year), and Pokémon X/Y (October 2013).

Also, just to throw this in here, we'll be expecting some Smash Bros. 4 news at E3 (that one's for both 3DS and Wii U).

So there, a look at some upcoming awesome games!
there star, you happy? i posted about upcoming awesome games!

Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS Heats up for the Holidays (release dates, new games and more)

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Nintendo 3DS owners are getting an amazing lineup of downloadable games for the holidays and beyond. Original games, classic games and demos will all be making an appearance in the Nintendo eShop. Fans also will soon find downloadable versions of select Nintendo 3DS hits that have already launched as packaged goods.

Nintendo 3DS owners will see a sequel to fan-favorite Pushmo, classics like Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania: The Adventure, plus a series of three original games developed by LEVEL-5 and several well-known Japanese collaborators.

“The Nintendo eShop demonstrates Nintendo’s commitment to providing consumers with unique digital content through a combination of creativity and convenience,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “The variety and quality of games coming this year is unmatched, from new entries in established franchises to original properties.”

The following content is scheduled to launch in the Nintendo eShop in 2012:

ORIGINAL GAMES

NightSky launches Oct. 25. NightSky is an action-puzzle game that offers an ambient game-play experience with cerebral challenges that fill uniquely designed, picturesque worlds. Each of these worlds is broken into different areas in which the player must maneuver a sphere by using realistic physics to advance.

Crashmo launches Nov. 22. Players can embrace the laws of gravity and challenge themselves with a whole new kind of action-puzzle play in this exciting sequel to the critically acclaimed Pushmo. New gravity mechanics and gadgets like floating blocks, doors and move switches await, testing players’ skills as they push, pull and slide each puzzle’s colorful blocks in order to climb to the top. Just be careful where those blocks are moved—unsupported blocks will come crashing down. Crashmo contains lots of puzzles to test your brains, and enhanced puzzle-creation and -sharing features mean that even when all the puzzles are cleared, the fun never has to stop.

Fluidity: Spin Cycle arrives on Dec. 27, letting players tilt, turn and even rotate their Nintendo 3DS system 360 degrees to maneuver a puddle of water named Eddy through a maze-like, magical world. Change from liquid to a block of ice or a steam cloud to solve fun, gravity-defying puzzles and defeat Goop monsters. Fluidity: Spin Cycle features a new storybook setting to explore that spans the ages, from a lost world full of dinosaurs to the modern world and beyond.

Three original games from LEVEL-5 and several well-known Japanese collaborators will launch in the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS before this holiday season. The first of these games, SUDA 51’s LIBERATION MAIDEN, is set 100 years in the future, when the president of Japan boards her Liberator, Kamui, and fights to free her country one region at a time. AERO PORTER by Yoot Saito and Yasumi Matsuno’s CRIMSON SHROUD are also slated for release by the end of the year.

Get ready to unleash pedestrian-tossing pandemonium with Grace and Savannah in Tokyo Crash Mobs, a fast-paced action-puzzle game coming to the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS in early 2013. Players will need lightning-fast reflexes and an eye for strategy to survive the three chaotic weeks that lie ahead for our heroines, as they take on anyone and anything that gets in their way.

So yeah, this exists. You can click the logo to go to the official JP site. It's KH1 Final Mix and Re:Chain of Memories remastered in HD with a few tweaks to bring them up to speed.

Like this, which says Arcanum, so it's obviously Ars Arcanum. Meaning in KH1FM the contextual commands will pop up, which is nice.

Also 358/2 Days is being remade into a movie, also in HD. Compare if you will.

Entertainment / "Lime of the Season" Released!
« on: August 09, 2012, 08:22:46 am »
EDIT: IT'S OUT!!

So you may have heard of a little Oracle of Ages album called "Essence of Lime" that dropped a couple of years ago. Well the companion album for Oracle of Seasons, entitled "Lime of the Season," is nearing completion, and yours truly is among the artists working on it! I'm not in the preview though; no worries. Enjoy!

Feedback / Custom Titles Cut Off!
« on: December 28, 2011, 01:31:06 am »
I noticed that with the upgrade, the space to display custom titles in each post was reduced. Whereas before it would jump down to a second line if it needed to, now it just keeps going out of sight. It's kind of annoying and odd to see a title just cut off like they do, and I thought I'd mention it so y'all would know about it (if you didn't already).

You can look at mine as a good example of this.

Entertainment / I did it once and I'll never do it again!
« on: September 10, 2011, 01:48:44 pm »
So I got this idea from another forum I'm on... I'll quote the OP from that topic; it describes it better than I ever could.
Quote from: Jax Mandrake
I just want to share, and I also want to know if you've got moments like this.

You probably are familiar with the feeling: you've been playing the same game for a few days in a row, and there's this one thing you've been trying to do. Each time you fail, you get that little bit more frustrated, and at the same time you get that little bit more determined to conquer the frustration. At last, you complete your goal, and you say to yourself, "I did it! And damn me if I ever even try that again!"
Mine would be some of the esper fights in FF12, particularly Ultima. I still haven't fought Zodiark, Hell Wyrm, or Yiazmat (or some of the other elite marks) but Ultima was friggin' tricky. Once I beat her, I let out a massive sigh of relief. ^.^

Also, CHEFBOT-9000 from Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero?

Anyone else?

Coding / [GM7] 8-Way Movement?
« on: October 23, 2010, 01:12:10 am »
I was trying to figure out a way to code a game so that diagonal movement was allowed, but I can't seem to figure out how to make it work. ;_;

In the game I'm making, 8-way movement would be a boon, but nothing I try works. Can someone here help me?

16
Entertainment / Subrosia - What and Where is it?
« on: August 11, 2010, 10:42:35 pm »
So, I've been thinking. What exactly is Subrosia? Is it just the underside of Holodrum? That would explain how the Pirate's Ship is the way it is. But that doesn't explain how the Temple of Seasons is still upright. If it was similar to the underworld in FF4, that wouldn't explain the pirate's ship. Is it warped? What is it, and does it even inhabit the same plane as Holodrum?

Let's hope this is a nice, friendly discussion. And move if necessary.

[also, lovin' the new layout! ^.^]

17
Entertainment / A question...
« on: July 29, 2010, 01:47:16 am »
So over at the boards for the Oracle of Seasons remix project, companion to Essence of Lime, the Ages one I linked to when it came out, we're discussing names. And the name Oracle of Seasonings came up. Hylian Lemon claims it was used for a fan game, but not many, myself included, remember it being used for that.

Can anyone here confirm or deny this?

Audio / Request for Sheet Music and/or Tablature
« on: July 26, 2010, 04:55:35 am »
I need some sheet music and/or tablature for the Subrosia theme from Oracle of Seasons. My Google Fu is weak, as I haven't been able to find ANY, so I was hoping my good friends here could help me out. Can you?

EDIT: Thanks for the move. Felt that might be the wrong place, but wasn't sure.

I remember there being the Online/Offline markers in the little profile to the side of every post once here. I know they were there; I made some once. What happened to those?

And were there gender markers there too once, or have those always been in the profile page for each user?

It's finally out after two years.
Essence of Lime

The link leads to the website, full of all the information and download links for it. A free album, too. I figured it was Zelda-related, seeing as it's a remix of the Oracle of Ages soundtrack, so I posted it here. I hope you all enjoy it! ^_^
