The Legend of Zelda

No name yet because I like to focus on the game before making up the name.

Anyways, so far it's basically just a Wind Waker remake, except it will feature diffrent locations, enemies, items etc.

Here's a list of what I've done so far;
Static Movement
Gravity
Ocean
Sailing King of Lions
Getting hurt
Look around (you know, the thing where you can look all around as if you were Link)
Day/Night system
Ability to change the camera
Message System

I'm going to do more, but I can't really make any progress since I'm lacking animations for my 3D models.

OH MY GOD LINK PLACES BOMBS IS HE ALLOWED TO DO THAT?

A chit-chat with Zant. Quite useful information there.

Yes, it's the King of Red Lions. Got no head :(

Link r traveleing

Seriously, what's a Zelda game without day and night? You can see the sun fall in the horizont.
(MY GOD THE BOMB DIDN'T 'PLODE).

Link can deny gravity and get up really high for a nice overview. Actually not, but since I programmed the thing I get free cookies.

No demo yet  :P

EDIT: And WHY CAN'T I POST IN THE WIP FORUM AAAAAAAARRRGGGGGH.

Well, if you would read the rules or criteria for this section, you would see that projects can be moved into the work-in-progress section once they have a demo or a trailer or something.  The staff put that up so work-in-progress games would actually need to show progress to be there.

Oh, and it is neat that you are doing something in 3D, but Zant and Wind Waker style do not match up.  Is Zant just a placeholder or are you trying to blend styles?  If the answer is the latter, then your game may be weird.

Zant was only dropped in because NPCs are hard to get around.
And strangely, Zant matches the Wind Waker style.

The only thing keeping me from releasing a demo is the animations.
I need an animated 3D Link so bad, it keeps me from developing.

Mainly it doesn't matter about the language, but the creator himself.
Find me Link animations and I'll tell you, promise.  ;D

Sure it does XD, it shows how much effort the person has put in :D. Dosen't matter anyway I'll just check the meta-data in the exe when you release a demo :).

Anyway I can't really help you with animations. I rarely do 3D work at the moment, 2D is more my forte. - I may have some models left over from pervious work though, I shall check.

I have the animation files from Wind Waker, the trouble is making an exporter. Infinitus, you can code in BlitzMAX right? If you were to write a software to export the BMD/BDL format with bones, you'll be saving his life! I can get you file format specifications if you want to give it a shot.

It seems stupid to remake a game - one thing is remaking OOT in 2d, but remaking the exact same game in the exact same number of dimensions? For what reason? A few edits? Go custom with this, or at least custom Zelda, not a remake of WW.

If you finish that, you are my god. I would love to have TP animations... so much.

Did you read what I said? It's going to be WW-LIKE, not the same.
