Here's the list. And the key for this list:
Green means it's already TMC-style.
Blue means it's easily editable to be in TMC style.
Yellow suggests other possible ways of doing this foe.
Red requires customs from scratch.
* = not taken yet.
x = claimed; W.I.P.
X = completed and submitted.
Bolded enemies come in multiple varieties, each holding different weapons (bow, spear, sword&shield).

Very nice list :). you should change it so the completed ones have an 'o' next to them (so people dont get mixed up by the x or X when they skim over it).

I'm gonna go get together everything I can find on TSR :). I'm assuming the stuff on TSR would be fine to use as long as we credit the people who ripped them.

We'll probably use all of what is in my signature. Otherwise, we shouldn't worry about all of the enemies right now just the ones that appear in the first areas. That way we can have an ordered process with less stress; rather than focusing on all enemies, we focus on enemies that occur in a single area and build up as we go.

Some of what is found on the Spriter's Resource is not fully useful to developers either. Some of the rips aren't right, the colors are off, etc.

Edit: Thinking about it, if need be, using Sonikku's sprites or using the Link sheet as a reference would be fine.

Checklist updated. Yeah, 4Sword's sheets would definitely be a good idea, and so would Sonikku's.
The Boo appears in Dungeon 2, in the room where you win the Power Bracelet.

ALSO: Remember that there are some enemies that carry spears, bows, or swords & shields. Such enemies are now in bold.

ah, thats where the boos were :P. anyways, here is a list of enemies that you can find when you only have the sword and shield at the beginning of the game:

From a quick glance Sonikku's sprites from there look as if they were ripped in part from the OAM viewer so I think that they would be fine, and mine I did the color checking myself (still possible for there to be an error I am not perfect, but it is unlikely). Sonikku's and my sprites are easy for developers to use I would think too because of how his sheets are made and how mine are premade.

In terms of spriting, it might be good to start with the enemies that don't appear in the Minish Cap and trying to get them into Minish Cap style. Namely the Sea Urchin since that is about the second enemy you see that can hurt you.

A.J. Nitro's M&L sprites are definitely colored right, so if nobody has any objections to using the overworld sprites for the Mario enemies... I'll say those ones are done.
