I wanted to makea compatiton again, but I didn't see it :O
am I blind or is it really gone.

There are a few spriting competition (child) boards in the topic archive, apart from that we don't have one. Post it in Off-topic, or if its something large notify a staff member (preferably an events committee member) via PM and they will try and set it up for you.

Kevin, you seem to not be understanding Infinitus.

If you have an idea, you send us the idea, not just the fact you want to create one. I can't just create something out of nothing, if you have an idea for us you give us an outline of the idea and how it will work. We're not just generally allowing users to create contests/competitions at their leisure.

I will try to get some form of 'form' up that you'll be able to follow to submit contest/competition ideas.

sorry, I am not a good persoon that can expresim him self in laugish,
I was just wondering where the compatition forum/threat what ever was.
so people could make contest again..



I wanted to make a contest like this:

I got the idea from Darunia to makea contest
Sprites in alttp atleast 1 cowboy, 1 indian, 1 iglo guy.
Max pixels: 24 x 32.

Rulez:
1. Alttp style nothing else!
2. Max pixels: 24x32 per Sprites
3. Must not been used before
4. edits are allowed.

What he means is why are the SPrite Competiton boards in the Topic Archive nsetad of the Graphic Arts, something I've been wondering myself. :P

Well, it is my understanding that the boards were taken down because they were not used as much as they could have been used.  If I were you though, and I wanted to post a topic that was a sprite competion, I would post it in the Graphic Arts section.  If it is about The Legend of Zelda, then put it in Zelda Graphic Arts, otherwise put it in Misc. Graphic Arts.

I would not see why anyone would put a sprite competition in off-topic, Infinitus, but whatever really.

Well its depends what it the competition is really, I was just giving Off-Topic as without knowing what the comp was about, I couldn't give a precise board to post it in.

They were taken down because they were very inactive and didn't warrant a full child board, not to mention the fact that the competitions were often not taken too seriously, creating missed deadlines and such.  That's not the best way to word it really, but I can't think of a better way at the moment.

A while ago, I would've said post it in the Topic Archive, at that time when you could still post (Pixel Duel topic became the new Spam). But now the Permissions have been changed :(.
