Entertainment / Re: GameFAQs character battle is so stupid.

Yeah really. Normally, I don't even follow their stupid poll, but once I saw that Sephiroth was on the poll, I had to see if I could cheat the same way I did for the Rockman polls on Capcom's website. Once I found a good proxy I started cheating, I tried voting for Metaknight because he had the second highest number of votes. I checked back a few hours later and THE POLL DIDN'T CHANGE, the percentage was exactly the same.

I even tried asking on 4chan's /b/ if anyone else would vote to eliminate Sephiroth, and got no response. Saw there was one on 7chan's /b/ and there was thread where a guy tried to do the same for Cats. Maybe when the fifth division starts I'll get 420chan's invasion board to help.

I need to find a better way to waste my time. I should probably pick up Metroid Prime 3, seeing as how my preorder expired 2 days after the game was released.

Super Mario 64/Sunshine didn't look jagged at all. Why is it that the GameCube could do it but the Wii can't?
It's called "screen-shot". It's not perfect.

What's the appeal of a Zelda MMO? It's just like playing a non-Zelda game, with a Zelda appearance, and a bunch of other nerds playing too. Just play a game on your computer and get ventrilo, it's close enough.

I completely forgot about the subspace army guys. Now that I remember them, I'm almost certain they're going to be what replaces the polygon/wireframes. Fighting Miis just wouldn't happen.

If I am a noob, then what are all the other idiots who can't even make it through a Zelda game?
who are these people you speak of?

Oh, Hi. You must be new, welcome to the internet.

Why would you be worried that it is too easy when all of the other Metroid games are nearly too hard to be enjoyable?
Ha-Ha-Ha, what a noob.

I have read some MP3 reviews where they prefer the Wii-mote over the mouse. That surely says something about the precision and comfortability of the Wii-mote.
That doesn't say anything. I've used the mouse and I've played MP3 with the Wiimote, the only important difference is turning speed. Also this is off topic, I like the wiimote but not the button mapping.

(Nintendo making "casual" games)
Define "casual" game, please. I wouldn't call MP3, BWII, Super Mario Galaxy or TP casual games. At least not in my understanding on casual. It is true that Nintendo also makes "casual" games, like Nintendogs, Brain Trainer and all that !@#$%.
Simple play techniques, a very low degree of strategy, making them easy to learn and play. They require no commitment, experience or skills to play, and have low production costs.

I'm not saying that MP3, BWII?, Super Mario Galaxy and TP casual games, I'm saying they've been dumbed down, Miyamoto even said that Mario Galaxy would be easier then the previous Mario games.

This guy basically expresses my feelings perfectly. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE BIOSHOCK. But you've got to admit, it's got major flaws, namely the ones that guy says in the video. That doesn't mean I can't like the game.

Since the video was taken off of youtube, here's a link to the original source.

I personally just like to have a balanced view of things, not just blind praise. More often than not, the negative things I say about games come from past experience, either experience with the game series, or the game company's current trends (Nintendo making "casual" games). I can't love a Zelda game because it has "Zelda" in the title, I can't love Metroid just because it has "Metroid" in the title, I can't love Halo games... I just can't like Halo at all.

I'm also a stickler for controls, but I just try to find the most comfortable or logical control scheme for the game. Which Nintendo seems to ignore over being more "casual".

Debates / Re: What happens after you die?
« on: September 07, 2007, 03:45:06 am »
This is IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND OUT.
Theoretically, no it isn't. If a subject was to experience total brain death for a set period of time, and was then resuscitated, It could technically prove different theories. Requiring many people of different backgrounds to volunteer suicide, and the riskiness of fixing brain death... It's improbable, but not impossible.

Even then, I doubt that. Video games are blamed because everyone needs something to blame. Also, I cry !@#$% over the whole deal...they've been claiming that a connection existed since the NES days.
Fixed.

Even this early into it,  it's obvious this poll clearly isn't going to go anywere. I regret asking.

You don't have to dislike it so much as pick something that needs improvement, or something that you would like to see tweaked a bit.
I'm not going to add a "nothing" option, because there's something that can be improved or changed a little.

I chose other so I can specify that I liked the game, the graphics didn't matter to me.
Please don't use "Other" as "Nothing"

Meh, couldn't think of anything but "amount of details". I thought it was a bit too detailed at times, for the cartoon style. Two or three shades per texture should be the maximum!
This is a good example. Not entirely what I meant by the poll option, but i'll change that a little.

Yeah, I know Link's age has nothing to do with graphics, and let's never speak of it again.

Poll. What would you change. If other, why, how to change. Yadda yadda yadda.

Edit: added "Texture Resolution/Details."

JFGI
I thought it meant more cum... does it?
No. It means more from the source of the image. Usually a URL, but sometimes it's just the artists name.

sauce plz = source please.

I've played a bit of the game, and honestly, I couldn't get past how annoying the controls were. Switching B with A didn't help any either. I also couldn't figure out why you couldn't do a jump as the Morph ball by pressing jump.

For some unknown reason I preordered Prime 3 out of sympathy for a friend who works at a GameStop, and I still haven't even bothered to go pick the damn thing up. Maybe when I'm done with Bioshock I'll pick it up.

I also thought there'd be a thread about Metroid Dread by now.

It could be the fact that the new box art is real. Just a theory.

From the way you described it, the first 20 episodes are just stupid and should be avoided. Ha-Ha.

I liked it, but I had to crank up the volume to hear the quieter instruments.
