I had the same problem. Just update to the latest drivers from Intel's site and you should be fine.

lol wut? DirectX 10 is only available for Vista and Source games have limited (if any) support for its features yet. Nice try.

Just update your Intel video drivers from the site. Don't worry about Direct X. Although having 9 wouldn't hurt.
