This game is looking really hot.
I believe it will be great!
Especially since they say the soundtrack in this will be the best in the series.

I love the new game, specially cause its portable, but i dont like the view in the dungeons. WHY couldn't they give us the OoT view style? Would be nice, and the DS is capable if they are careful with level design.

Honestly: It looks like ass. It's grainy and they shouldn't have done another WW style game. The DS kinda blows for 3D games and no one seems to see it.

I've said it a thousand times, but DS should stick to 2d. If you want portable 3d, get a psp, which can actually handle 3d graphics well.

I agree with Limey and Nebetsu, this sucks. simple 3D games, in this kind of setting (ie adventure game), lack the detail required to create the atmosphere which is oh-so-important in a game. I can't see this being any good, but then not so many of the recent Zelda games have been anyway....

You guys are kidding right...what isn't epic about those screenshots. Those graphics are the best I've seen on the DS yet, and FFIII was really good looking.

Yeah, it looks only bad because the noise/JPG artifacts. Final fantasy was okay for a DS, PH is looks even better.

I've tried to use the "JPG artifact removal tool" of paint shop pro (doesn't really makes it better but the noise and articact are almost gone)

FF3 actualyl had some pretty good graphics.
Whatever. Graphics don't really matter.

Well, can't say I'm really impressed, except maybe the 5th and 6th ones, because other than those its old info. But, its Zelda, so I can guarantee myself I'm gonna like it.

what about Ocarina of Time? That was a "simple" 3d game, the DS could easily handle that. Meaning that PH could be good. :)

Sure the graphics look !@#$%, but it's the art style that goes down well with me. I'm friggin' sick of graphics talk. I'm fairly sure people can see that it doesn't look as good as a PSP game, but your eyes don't bleed when you look at it in motion. It moves smoothly and doesn't affect the gameplay.

to alspal, no, they're not similar at all. Look at the difference in the amount of environmental detail (note NOT graphical detail...) in the dungeon shots:

But the amount of environmental detail is appalling, just look at those dungeon shots, it just looks like a few corridors put together with a block in the middle of one. Where's the atmosphere gone???

Perhaps it is best to keep your opinions to yourself until after you have played the game. Maybe this area of the game is supposed to look like it does? Look at the rest of the screen shots, and you will see "atmosphere".

In the bottom right corner of the first pic, there is what looks like a Darknut, and on it's shield is what looks like an hourglass with an upside-down Triforce piece in it...
And in the second one, I think I can see Salvatore(the guy who ran the cannon mini-games from TWW), Beedle, Old Man Ho-ho(not sure if I have that right, but he's the guy who's always looking through a telescope, or on one island, a koliada(?)-scope), and the Postman. Also, is it just me or does that one Goron look a bit like Darmani from MM?
It also looks like there'll be fishing.

That "upside-down triforce piece" is just sand in the hourglass. If you look, you can see it "right-side up" on the bottom of the hourglass too.
