5:39. Damn, some of the things he pulls off, crazy. He wastes no time and makes alot of shortcuts... And he only uses 3 hearts the whole game (never touches a heart container). My eyes are bleeding, but I was mainly taking notes for OoL.

Bleh Im too lazy to get all 43 segments. Also, the more segments, the less impressive it is.

I'll download it soon.

Trust me, a single segment run is just as much imprenting a route to make it look as good as possible as a segmented run is.

That's very true, but also not. The route is intricately planned out for any run, obviously. But there's quite a difference between playing with such high precision/perfection for 5+hours straight.. and playing through said route at ease, over 43 short runs. They both take allot of thought, but in one, the act is much more stressful!

In any case, I may watch this run eventually ..after I play TP XD.

Dammit AoDC, you have no life.

Why don't you go outside man.

And when you do, PM me and tell me how it is since i haven't gone out there in years. Computing takes up time :(

Impressive, but I'm sure someone out there has done faster, but never recorded it. Even so, 5:39 is impressive. Blows my 7:42 run out of the water, it does.

Remember, he does not get any hidden skills, heart containers, etc, so that may be the lost time. Even if he did, he uses alot of shortcuts in dungeons that make me cry.

Watched it when I got the link from the other thread. And yes, it's insane.

Now they should do a speedrun to get all of the stuff in the game.

I doubt it. Achieving this time takes massive playing skill and knowledge of all the shortcuts and tricks. Things that have been found at speed demos archive. Jiano is a contributor to the thread and so he knew all these things which made him achieve the time 5:39.

A new run is in production by TP_Fox, though he hasn't gotten very far yet. Even if he doesn't beat Jiano's time, it will be placed in a different category - not obsolete the Wii run. There are many things on the Wii that the GC doesn't make up for speed, such as faster loading times and the ability to instantly aim where you want. GC does however have the advantage of backflipping off the horse and more steady aim. It isn't impossible to beat time on the GC version, as many small timesavers have been found since Jiano's run was submitted.

Actually a 100% run is in planning by Mr_Potter over at SDA. Don't expect it to come out very soon though.

Wow, he's gotten through TP quickly. Now if only I was as fast as that for, say, Wind Waker :P...

Oh come on, that's unfair. Some people have different interests.

Who said he found all those shortcuts? He had help from the SDA community.

Like AoDC says everyone have different interests. You also misdefined the term nerd, which more of means "passionate about something", which definitely doesn't mean you don't have a life. It's a frickin hobby, as you might like football. You're basically saying if I play football a lot I don't have a life.

No, I'm sorry but to play the game THAT much to be able to do it in 5 hours is just plain sad, it's not about having different interests than me its about doing something other than playing TP until your eyes bleed/ you get arthritis in your wrists and every single finger. As for not discovering them himself they still require practice to pull off so you're argument is somewhat defunct.

Playing football 'til you break your foot (many professional players have) isn't as bad as playing TP until you achieve a 5 hour run?

In any case he hardly spent more time on this run than what any World of Warcraft player took to reach level 60.
