Beta Great Fairy

Recently in my game, I've been working on five great fairy fountains. Four of them look like the ones from Wind Waker and Four Swords Adventure, but the fifth looks like the beta model of Great Fairy from OoT. I spent a few hours working on a MC style of the Beta Fairy, but I didn't save and am too stuborn to remake it.....

Can somebody help? I used a FSA fairy as a base.

I made this a wile back, it's unfinished (obviously)

I hope it's okay with darklink45 that I just edited his unfinished fairy, trying to get it more finished for you, Random. If used, credit is totally up to darklink45; I don't require credit for an edit of another person's work because it's ultimately their work and their decision.

That said, @ darklink45: If it's okay with you, I'd like to try to animate this (float up and down with wings flapping) and upload it to resources for all to use. If you're okay with it, it's totally up to you about the credit. I don't care if I get any cred or not. I just think a MC-styled fairy like this might be a nice resource for others to use.

Also, if it sucks, say so and tell me to stop messing with it. I'm not the greatest spriter, and I know it, but I do try.

Anyway, I've attached the image (it has a few reference images in it because it's a WIP image).


I do think the fairy needs a little more work on the hair, to make it seem more female. Besides that, I was trying to make it more proportionally correct while still matching MC-style. I think it's kind of in between, but it seems to work okay beside Link imo.

Ok, I've attached what I came up with; both the frames and the animation. As I said, I'm not the best spriter, so the wings might be a little iffy. I especially think the upper parts of the wings could use a little help in keeping proper form as they flap up and down, but the rest is good, right? Let me know what needs more TLC and I'll try to make the necessary changes and I'll upload it to the resources.

@ darklink45: How do you want to do the credit? "Custom sprite by darklink45, edited and animated by FrozenFire"? Sound fine?

Btw, Random, does it work for you so far?

for the wings, you should try something like this, more fluid.

After looking at the time, I realized that it was very late and that I put far too much time into this. I hope it's good enough for Random to use or to be used as a resource for people's MC-styled (or FSA-styled) games.

Note: The animation has a minor pixel glitch around the neck area, but it is fixed in the sheet. Not a big deal since the animation is just to show how it looks animated, but the sheet is what will be used as the resource.

LOL, thanks SC. Actually, I just noticed a few minor pixel glitches, so I fixed those and resubmitted it a while ago. Now I'm even more happy with it. XD

Lately, I've just had a heavy urge to sprite sprite sprite! But now I'm trying to sprite more for my game again instead of doing random stuff like this. Though it was sort of to help Random out, but he hasn't been logged on for about 3 days (which is weird because he seemed to be on here 24/7, lol) so I don't think he's even seen it yet. At least he'll get the fixed 1.1 version. :P

Why didn't they keep that fairy model? In the finished version, they all look like whores!
