Do you usually have problems when trying to run games that have been made in GameMaker 6.1? Please let me know.

Yes I do.

Well, here are the system requirements taken from GameMaker's site:
Quote
Game Maker runs on the Windows platform, versions 98 SE, 2000, ME, XP (and later). It does require a DirectX 8 or higher compatible graphics card with at least 16MB of video memory (preferably 32 MB or more). Also a DirectX 8 or higher compatible sound card is required. DirectX version 8.0 or later is required.

I would also check out the official GameMaker FAQ here. Maybe check their forums to see if someone has had similiar problems (or more specifically ask about the problem you're having) and/or do a search on the internet, etc.

I hope this helps. It's a shame that if a game is made in GM 6.1 that you miss out on being able to play it. Good luck!

Okay, that was just a quickie, anyway. Feel free to edit, anyone.

Also, I'll make an animated support banner.

there. Dang, it's too small. If anyone wants to resize it, you can.

OH! I just realized! We can post in WIP now!!!!! I'll go make the topic!

Scratch that. I told Kleaver to move this topic. It'll be easier than pruning it and moving everything piece-by-piece.

I like the new support banner. Here's the code for those who wish to put it in their sigs:

Code: [Select]

Also, I got a bug report from Tre Lantana. Here is what he said:

IF you get the ball stuck between the flippers and the bumper, it just keeps gaining speed until it either breaks free and then goes wild/goes off the screen, or until it just flies through the normal way.

Hey team, not sure what all I have missed, i will read the rest of the topic after I post this, but maybe a month ago a driver on my secondary 500gb hard-drive became corrupted and made it so my computer would not even get past the startup process, it wasnt until recently that I decided to remove my secondary hard-drive to see if my computer would turn back on, it did, but my secondary hard drive with ALL of my games and work is still out of comission and unaccessable for the moment, I apoligize for the inconvenience this may have caused, if you havn't already done so, I would have another programmer do the engine for u as this has greatly crippled my computers ability top function, again I apoligizze for this, I am back though for now, but I will get back to you all when I figure out how to fix the corrupted driver on my hard-drive

Dude, that sucks. I wish you luck on getting it fixed. I know how frustrating it can be when a HD goes bad (I had a HD crash and lost a lot of my programs & games, etc I was working on. What a nightmare! It was a backup lesson hard-learned!)

well I tried the demo, and with the exception of a few kinda big bugs it is really great

Would you like for me to send you the GameMaker file so you can help work on it? I have sent it to nearly everyone on the team (I'm still waiting for jackofalltrades to give me his e-mail address *COUGH* hint, hint *COUGH*) PM me your e-mail address if so.

Well, how hard is that to fix?

I don't know yet, but hopefully I'll get some time soon to check it out.

How's the engine coming.

Speaking for myself, I haven't been able to touch it lately. I was gone most of this weekend and right now I'm working on a programming project for my C++ class. I don't know how much I'll be able to work on it while I'm in college (I already can't wait until summer!) That's the reason why I sent the source file to everyone in the team (except I haven't heard from Dark Xion, yet) so anyone can make changes to the game and hopefully keep this project afloat. Obviously if I get a chance, I'll try to see what I can do/add/edit/fix and post my findings to this topic.

Off the top of my head, could someone take a screenshot of the game and post it up here? I was thinking if we could first get that, then maybe dlbrooks33 could request that this game be put into the WIP section. I know jackofalltrades that you have already asked for this topic to be moved, but I think it has to be the person who started the topic making the request. Oh well, best of luck team!

I was trying to get to it too. but high school never seizes to give homework. I just started school this week, just started 9th grade, and I'm already sick of it. can't wait til winter break, spring break and most definetly summer break.

That's awesome. Thanks jackofalltrades!

Here's the full-sized image:

Well dlbrooks33, our project seems to meet all the requirements to be placed into the WIP section. Would you mind either making the request for the topic to be moved to WIP or create a new topic there?
