Considering that Ganondorf and Vaati have been featured in more than one Zelda game, should another villain like one such as Majora or otherwise be featured in a future game instead?

Well; I more or less see Vaati as the handheld boss and Ganon as the console boss. I personally feel Majora was a waste of an antagonist... He was just so lacking and slightly annoying.

If anything, they should expand further into their roots; bring back the cultists who want to resurrect Ganon, or make Shadow Link a permanent fixture.

What happens when you use the Gameboy Player?  That blurs the line a little bit, doesn't it?  D;
(Don't forget Vaati was in FSA too.)

You can't divide the series between format anyway.  That makes no sense.  Like, who's the cartridge villian and who's the CD-ROM villian?!?!

And now we have the Wii, so it can't be Ganon anymore.  They need to invent a waggle-stick antagonist!

Yeah but FSA was an extension to the handheld games :P

But anyway, Wagglon would rock as a boss :P

To answer the actual "big question", I can't think of who I'd want to see in a new Zelda game.  Probably a new villian instead an old one.  I feel like Onox and Veran weren't major enough to return, and I hope Nintendo never expands on the story of Majora's Mask.  I love the game, but any more would just screw it up.

Being a major Majora's Mask fanboy, I would love to see the mask back but seeing how the dark powers went away after it was defeated, I don't think it will be seen as an antagonist again. A new boss needs to be in the next game. They did it with Phantom Hourglass so I don't think it would be that hard to take advantage of.

To continue on with that little Ganon and Vaati discussion, Ganon was in the Oracle games if you connected them together with the cheats.
