OK zfgc the project will no longer be could Ocarina of Time Re-imagined, the projects has gone through a lot of changes and will now be a mix of all my favorite dungons and locations from all the zelda games.
the game will play out like the original zelda game on the nes, you will be left alone to explore the whole of hyrule and find the dungons for you self in any way you like to find all the missing triforce pieces.

here's a little list of some locations in the game -

lost woods (OoT)
Kakariko village (alttp)
Kokiri Forest (OoT)
Aboda Village(ST)
Tail Tail Cave(LA)

here a  little demo for my version of kokiri forest in generations -
http://www.2shared.com/file/WuDegmAb/the_legend_of_zelda_GENERATION.html

here's a new screen inside Tail Tail Cave from links awakening

has you can see ive added shield health just like skyward sword, you be able to find collectibles to upgrade each shield and some of the weapons in the game

NEW SCREENS 2011 -

OLD SCREENS 2010 -

heres a list of  of some stuff that will now not be in the game -

. all enemies will be replaced with mc enemies
. Gold skulltula will be replaced with golden bugs
 . no z targeting

items not in the game -
 . deku stick
 . deku nuts
 . lens of truth
 . bombchu
 . magic beans
 . hover boots
. dins fire , nayrus love , farores wind

areas not in the game -
 . inside jabu jabus belly

THIS IS NOT A REMAKE OF THE ORIGIANL GAME IT A RE-IMAGINATION

I, for one, wish you good luck.
I always used to think that if I ever tried my hand again at Ocarina of Time in a 2D format, one of the ways would be
LttP style.

I think that in a sense that most OoT2D projects try to hard to make 3D elements into 2D(Water Temple *cough*).
You don't have to capture all the 3D aspects to capture the spirit of the game itself.

Damnit, you are making want to throw some crap together to see how a OoT LttP would be D:<
Already have too much in life to worry about :D

I love what I see so far. I also wish you the best on this project. But there would probably be some trouble in making adult link. This is the trouble whenever I think about a 2D OoT, in which every character sprite is always the same size.

I've never understood why people have wanted to add an "adult" link to 2d incarnations. There's no real progression elements that require it that can't be circumvented with a cleverly placed object in one time that isn't there in the next :P The age of Link is purely aesthetic.

Edit: XD how the hell do my crappy rocks from 2004 keep popping up in peoples projects even today?

Well, since this is a reincarnation of OoT, then the time travelling between child and adult forms is one of those aspects that should be considered, but this is a reimagining of the game though, so it isn't too severe a problem. Still, there is going to be some changes to the gameplay, as certain items and abilites were exclusive to both the adult and child forms in the original and also some parts in the story also.

^Agreed.  You could simply write the story to make it so that Link travels through time 7 years rather than being frozen in time for 7 years.  That way he is still the same age after the time travel occurs...  Just a thought.

The project looks good though.  Keep it up!

I agree with you about the rocks, so I made one that fits in my opinion. Use it if you want, Ganonslay3r.

<3 you right now XD

My rocks don't really fit in any project. They were crap sprites from when I first started spriting. They most definitely don't fit a MC project at all D: They're also (for some unknown reason) some of the most ganked rock tiles out there >_<

It's not that they're bad, they just have rough edges, and everything else looks smooth. That and the colors are so much more saturated than the grass.

That lantern doesn't seem to be useful... the area it encompasses is only a bit lighter than the dark areas. It looks as if you have the halo drawn under a transparent black square... How about just making a whole in the shadow where link is?

I feel the gameplay function of a lantern is otherwise useless if you can see through the darkness anyway. Didn't Minish Cap's lantern have a circle encompassing light, bordering pitch black darkness? Seems like the best way to do it?

It's like the lantern in Twilight Princess, or the flashlight in Halo, I didn't bother with it, I just turned the brightness up on my TV. Cos I'm real cool!
