The phrase "the Wii Fit", "a Wii Fit", and "Nintendo's Wii", which are all normally followed by an explanation of what they are, as if anyone doesn't know. Why can't they just say "Wii"?
Anyone else !@#$% irritated by this? Another form of gannon-banned in the making.

Remember how everyone used to call the systems?
Gamecube= the new Nintendo
Playstation 2 & 3= Playstation
Xbox 360= the new Xbox
I don't know if anyone remembers that. Or how Ignorant people would classify all videogames as either Nintendo or Playstation. LOL, I remember those days.

all nintendo consoles are "gameboys", and everything else is a "gamebox"

Actually, even the game cube is incorrect, since all its sides weren't equal in length! :O
So, they should be the Game Rectangular Prism and the X Rectangular Prism respectively.
...but of course.. that's lame.

X Rectangular Prism? A box is a Rectangular prism-- box doesn't mean square. So Xbox is a legit name :P
(but then again, so is gamecube, who cares if it's actually a cube XD)

Just think about it. Now that there are things on the Wii with appeal to people that aren't quite in-tune with the gaming world, you're going to have to explain it to these people, especially if it has a weird name like "Wii".

My mom says almost the same as yours, any console is "ganeboy". I used to call "gameboy" that as a kid, and she doesn't seem to realise there are other names than gameboy. >_>
