How about this:
A button that will allow you to ignore somebody, so you can't see their posts.
You can also later un-ignore them.
Basically, if you don't like someone, you don't have to put up with them.
Discuss.

XD I wander where this idea came from ::) :P
Yeah it seems like a good idea to be honest, could be put in before that Linkw what ever comes back... like double quick... :P

LOL @ bertfallen's post.
No, I originally came up with this after something Swiftu or Fissure said. I wonder what?
lol

I think it's stupid to ignore, that just tightens the blindfold of lies that surround your relegion...
But to stay on topic: I'ts shouldn't be needed if the moderation team is good enough.
Now i wonder... Hmm...

ARE YOU JUST HERE TO MAKE PEOPLE MAD?

But who would report the posts then :(. Plus it seems pretty unneccessary when you can just, you know, not read the post >.>.

My point exactly. ;)
Notice how i'm doing it now!?

How many people do you think WON'T read a post that flames them?
And, besides, wouldn't you like to never have to see a post from Hyrule_Boy again?

If its a flame then you report it and the member get warned.
And, besides, wouldn't you like to never have to see a post from Hyrule_Boy again?
I like reading Hyrule_Boy's post, they keep me amused on those cold winter nights :D.

Well, my only thing is that reporting sometimes won't work.
-
Sometimes when you report something, the moderator does not always agree with your reasoning. A report does not guarantee a "fix". Ignoring it with a little effort is easier and more beneficial in the long run; and by ignoring, I mean just using will power.

I like the idea... I think it needs just a bit more developing.
I mean, If I find a member irritating or ignorant, I would love to have a button that I could switch on, and then I could ignore them... but it might make a topic a little hard to understand.... like if that member makes a topic about something you are interested in... and then you can't see the first post so you are like "WTF???"
Also.... it is a bit unimportant.... If you don't like them, don't read what they post, if they flame you, report them.
There are a lot of flaws with this, think them out a bit more.

The system should be implemented, but no-one aware of it; Hyrule_Boy should be automatically ignored by everyone.
I wonder how long it would take him to notice that no-one else could read his posts...

But it's summer now... D=
