First religion says that Spore is bad because it promotes evolution. Now scientists are saying Spore is bad because it's inaccurate. :P
-
This is so stupid. The game is meant to be fun not scientifically accurate.
-
It's a video game, not the history of science and evolution.
-
Yeah, everyone's over-exaggerating what this game is. That's what over-hyping a game does I suppose.
-
It was just a scientific evaluation of it, good god. You know, just a group of experts looking at whether it holds any bearing in science just because they want to.
-
And I thought scientists where so smart to see how repetitive the gameplay is...
-

!@#$% you mean when I bought this I wasn't buying a historical learning document? !@#$%!
-
Actually this is just how a scientists mind works. Such people have a depth of obsession and lust for knowledge we mere mortals could never grasp, and anything which is inaccurate is an atrocity that penetrates their thoughts and renders sleep at night nigh impossible.
Especially the people who deal with Quantum Physics...the real pros at that field, well, you know the signs that say "You don't have to be crazy to work here but it helps"? Well, in that field it helps. A lot.

Did anyone even !@#$% read what I said?

Did I disagree with what you said? No. No I did not.
If you ask me what I posted complimented what you said by explaining why they'd actually care in the first place.
-
Not really, you made out they were total obsessives who hate anything not completely based in reality.
I said the scientists were just making an evaluation of the game's basis in reality just to see how realistic it actually was.
-
Well, to be fair I was exaggerating for dramatic effect :P
Still, if something is out-of-place or inaccurate, for at least a second it does niggle at you, be it in the laws of science, or a video game (except for in games like Fantasy games which ask for a pretty large suspension of disbelief anyway) :P Why do you think I couldn't enjoy the fourth Indiana Jones movie?
Surviving a nuclear explosion inside a fridge.
That is why.

Well..yea, being a science geek myself, I do have to agree with this.
