check it out pls.  XD

edit: After the first sweep picking part I carry around with the same riff for a while because I couldint think of anything else atm. It gets much better after that part.

second edit: I do screw up at some parts because I only shot it once and didn't want to fuss =P

third edit: this isin't my best stuff this is just me doing some improv.

Pretty cool, but I'm not much for down-tuned, over-distorted, undiscernable note type stuff (I exaggerate of course).  You got nice chops, though.  I haven't learned to sweep pick yet, but then again I have no real use for it.  Nice stuff anyway.  What is that guitar you're playing?

Gibson SG GTX. My sweep picking near the middle was horribly distorted so it didn't sound very good... plus I was on my crappy practice amp upstairs in my bedroom. I'll record a new video soon of me downstairs playing with my halfstacks, it will be a lot cleaner then.

I thought it looked like an SG.  And I'll be robbing your house and taking your halfstack soon.

Not bad man, some of those riffs were pretty cool sounding, I think above all what you should work on is your phrasing, even when improvising, try and make things flow a little better instead of jumping all over the place, just try jamming in a certain key for a while with a metronome and you come up with some really cool !@#$%. To be honest I didn't like the sweeping parts too much. I think you are rushing them a bit too fast for your skills or something so it sounds really mashed together and there isn't a lot of melodic value to them. But you are still making them stick, try doing them slower and combining a few together. But then your style is probably more thrashy aggressive metal anyways.

You listen to Arch Enemy at all? michael amott is !@#$% brilliant the way he mixes beauty with brutality (as he says). If you don't already you should check them out on youtube, or just search michael amott. Nice guitar btw ^^

It was pretty good, your tone was pretty bad though, but you've already said stuff about that.
It's funny that the guy called what you were playing generic compared to the videos he had on his account that I assume are of his band.

1. My sweeping picking failed horribly in this video.
2. I'll get a new video soon that doesn't suck as much
3. Thanks for the constructive criticism.

Hehe, sounds good. In the next one you should try and play some Arch Enemy or Children of Bodom. They have great songs
