Next month Watchmen comes out <3

Read the comic, and it was awesome. I have high hopes for this movie since the director of 300 is doing this movie.

Using the Smashing Pumpkins song is perfect for the trailer. It just fits the scenes, in my opinion.

I would have assumed people would have known . I didn't figure I needed to even bother backing the argument up. But ok, if you insist, I can't think of many movies off the top of my head at the moment, but heres a list of the movies I can remember;

Tomb Raider, Hitman, Doom, Final Fantasy:SW, Max Payne, Most of the Resident Evil movies, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Double Dragon, Super Mario Bros (seriously wtf), Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne, House of the Dead, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Hulk (Worst film In ages), Some of the james bond films, Batman Forever, Harry Potter (Kill them with fire!!!), His Dark Materials, Eragon, Anything by Uwe Boll, Da Vinci Code (Book was awful to begin with mind you), Twilight (based on other peoples opinions), The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy (!@#$% awful), Silent Hill, Narnia Series, etc, etc

Course there are more and the choice is subjective. But you get the general idea.

It's going to be quite the fun cgi-fest, but it won't touch the book.

This movie is most likely going to blow.  BTW, you say 'director of 300' as if it's a good thing?  I mean, that movie was fun the first time you saw it, but it was awful really.  That !@#$% idiot is just going to use the same dumb slow-mo for watchmen, which is NOT right.

I'm being a bit harsh:  300 wasn't awful, but it is by no means a great movie.  There is hardly a story to speak of, no compelling characters; its only redeeming quality is that it is extremely stylized action, which is cool the first time, but that alone can't hold it up as a good movie.

imo it will be an average movie, I am a Watchmen fan but I see it this way a book that is really hard to comprehend by reading it once can't be easily adapted to a movie, then apart from that the story is really long and full of minor details just by changing part of the background you change alot of the story, and adding all the story is really hard for the quantity of time he is planning to do.

But I can't wait to see how it will end !

To critic a movie that has not been released is not good,  the list is meh, I must agree that most sucks but what you are doing is basically judge it by the genre, for example: I can say that Videogames will suck just because of all the bad games that have been released (hell the list is even bigger than the one you mentioned), but obviously there will always be good ones, I am expecting the Watchmen to be one of this, if it sucks to bad, if it is good great! we can only wait.

Really? Why? I don't mean to sound like a fan-boy, but they are awful in comparision to the books. I don't know exactly
why I hate them so much, but they really don't "wow" me, they just seem dull movies that give none of the suspence or intrigue of the books.

Can't really comment on this one. Haven't watched it myself yet.


Anyway as I said its subjective, it's a matter of personal opinion. But I personally believe the majority of conversion films are just mass-produced foder, few ever capture the spirit of the original, and most just become cringe-worthingly (lol, not a word) poor. I would produce a longer better list, but I tend to try and forget the names of bad films .

Cuddle Bunny, quit yer trollin~ Everybody knows that the Twilight movie has major differences from the book, so the author is writing a new one to fit the movie

Also Infini; D: The old Hulk sucked, and they made a new one to make up for that. It's like Punisher.

As for the rest of those movies, the lot of them did suck as adaptations, but if you ignore the fact that they're based off of a book of some sort, they're alright.

Are age restrictions for movies actually enforced?  It's rarely a problem to get into an R-rated movie here (well I'm 17 now, but I'm talking about when I was younger)

There are some pretty heafty fines, and most staff will ID you, but its not difficult to get in. Been a while since I did it though (<3 being legally an adult).
